Timex Expedition WS4 watchThe Timex Expedition WS4 looks pretty ordinary, but it isn’t. Some of it’s features include an altimeter, barometer, thermometer, chronograph, alarm and compass. This isn’t some slim sissy watch for a nerd wrist. This one’s for real men. Rugged type dudes. Adventurers.

Being a Timex watch, the WS4 will take a licking and keep on ticking. It’s also water resistant up to 50 meters and comes with a rubber strap which can be mounted to a fabric strap, so you can wear on the outside of your heavy gear should the need arise.

Lotus concept Ice Vehicle perfect for Bond villains

Lotus concept Ice Vehicle perfect for Bond villainsThis concept ice vehicle from Lotus would be perfect for some Bond villain from one of the old movies. But it wasn’t developed by a madman wanting to take over the world, it was developed for Antarctica on the Moon Regan TransAntarctic Expedition. It can run on snow and ice, sitting on three skis like a snow mobile.

The vehicle gets it’s power from biofuel, but is propeller-driven and even sports an ice penetrating radar that is capable of detecting potentially dangerous crevasses. It was tested in Sweden so that it can withstand the harsh polar elements. I don’t care what they built it for, it would be hard not to beat up on this thing joyriding across the arctic.
