Zippo App for iPhoneOne thing that has been a concert going tradition as long at power ballads have been around is holding your cigarette lighter above your head with the flame going. This can be a problem if you want to partake in the tradition but don’t smoke. Zippo has just the thing for non-smokers who want to participate.

Zippo and software firm Moderati have launched a new App for the iPhone that is available free on the Apple App Store. The application is called the Virtual Zippo Lighter and will work on the iPhone and iPod touch.

USB flash drive lighterSo you’ve got about a hundred lighters laying around, just like you have a huge pile of flash drives, because all you do is smoke like a fiend and save data all day for some reason. I feel your pain. Why not combine the lighter with the flash drive and have both in one convenient device. It’s made to look like a Zippo. A refillable Zippo with an 8GB flash drive and retractable USB connection that slides out of the bottom. The flame is adjustable, but the price is not at $59.99. If the Doors were around today they might sing Come On Baby Light My File.

The Zippo OUL, not your typical Zippo lighter
Here’s a gadget from Zippo that sure would come in handy this holiday weekend. It’s bound to be perfect for camping or just lighting the grill, especially in the dark. The Zippo OUL (Outdoor Utility Lighter) will cost you $22 and features a wind-resistant dual flame and built-in LED light. The 8-inch-tall not-so-typical Zippo lighter also has an adjustable flame dial, water-resistant cap, metal construction, and comes with clip and strap. After you light the grill and enjoy the day, then use it to light candles at night. Hopefully the kind that ward off insects.
