We’ve been waiting for this one for some time now. An 802.11n adapter for our Xbox 360. It cleared the FCC and has now appeared on a flyer inside a Gears of War 2 Game of the Year edition box in Italy.
Modern Warfare 2 fans have something else to smile about. Infinity Ward has confirmed Microsoft’s plans for a 250GB Xbox 360 Elite with details of a special bundle for the game. The Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition bundle includes the mentioned added capacity along with a custom paint job on the console. There’s also two wireless gamepads and of course the game itself.
As expected, the rumors were true. This Friday, the Xbox 360 Elite will drop $100 to $300 with no HDMI cable included. While the mid-range 360 Pro will drop down to $250 from $300. The Pro will also be phased-out at this price.
This suped-up red Xbox 360 looks like a hot rod. There isn’t much info about it, but the bright red case and the two canisters on the side make the console look like it is about to take off. Looks like it has some cooling pipes too, that might separate during takeoff.

Sorry PS3 and Wii, no Netflix streaming for you. Today we learn that Netflix streaming won’t land on Sony’s PlayStation 3 or Nintendo’s Wii (Not counting PlayOn). Ever. How do we know? Because at the bottom of Microsoft’s details on today’s Xbox LIVE update, it now states that Netflix Watch Instantly integration is now an “exclusive partnership,” with Microsoft.

Peter Bale, executive producer of MSN recently spoke to the Telegraph and announced that Microsoft will launch a streaming music service “imminently”, by the end of July. Bale said the service will be similar to Spotify, a streaming music service that offers both an ad-supported listening option as well as a premium subscription service with no ads. Bale also added that Microsoft is considering extending the service to the Xbox 360, but he didn’t give any other details.
A rumor coming out of Spain suggests that Sony is working on the PSP2. The system would have graphical capabilities more or less like the original Xbox. According to the rumor, the GPU of the system is being handled by the same people who make the iPhone’s, Imagination Technologies. It’ll be able to support OpenGL 2.0 and Direct X 10.
