Normally Wolverine’s claws will shred anything that they come into contact with. Luckily the adamantium skeleton in this Wolverine Mighty Muggs figure isn’t so strong.

This was once a simple Wolverine figure, but some outside of the box thinking has turned Logan into an effective iPod cable manager. Proof that simple toys can sometimes help keep your gadgets tidy on your desk. It’s only $15 and probably has some other uses as well.

How much would you pay to be able to slice and dice like Wolverine? $100? $80? How about $40? They may not be made from adamantium, but the three long knives/spikes measure 11 1/2″ long and are made from solid stainless steel. And since these won’t be coming out of your actual arm, you get a nice heavy metal looking wrist strap. Great for disemboweling enemies of all kinds. Just don’t get too carried away. Be like Wolverine, not Freddy Krueger. The so-called “Tomahawk Skull Gauntlet” is $40.

These paper toys are cute and they aren’t afraid to do battle with paper villains. But paper cuts can be deadly to them. You can download them at harlancore for free, print them out and start folding one. After that, just play with them on your desk. There’s Spiderman, Cyclops, Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X. And they are all sticking their tongues out at you. There are more characters available as well, like Storm, Beast etc. Nerd toys don’t get much cuter.

Obviously inspired by the flame throwing prowess of Pyro in the X-men, Everett Bradford designed a system that mounts on his wrist and propels fire when he moves his hand back. The flame is ignited through a fuel can at his waist.

It looks pretty awesome too and I bet he could impress Rogue and Storm enough to score, but it is potentially fatal should he spring a leak. You can tell that he is feeling the intense heat on his hand and cant run it too long. The combustion mechanism is complex and he has a second video for a detailed explanation, but I wouldn’t try this at home. Creating fake mutant powers could prove very dangerous. Cool, but dangerous.

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. It’s a replica of Scott Summers’ visor from ThinkGeek and it’s “authentically duplicated from the actual 20th Century Fox filming prop.” The cool part is that they double as shades with an iridium sunglass lens.

However if you feel that you need to wear this so as not to blast those around you with your powerful eye beams, you may in fact be the real cyclops and should go look for Professor X immediately.
