A recent survey published by Nielsen shows that Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone are among the most popular phones in the U.S., with iPhone and BlackBerry leading with a 27 percent market share each and Android not too far behind with 23 percent and Windows Mobile capturing 14 percent.

The interesting aspect about the survey is that males prefer Android over the iPhone and its iOS operating system (33 percent for Android versus 29 percent for iOS) and that women were more interested in iOS (31 percent to 23 percent). Overall, the iPhone appears to be leading with 35% of those who are looking into purchasing a new phone, while 28% are choosing Android.

The LG C320 is aimed at the fairer sex, with a feminine design and colors to match. It sports a QWERTY keyboard that slides out, a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, an integrated MP3 player, FM radio, and a microSD expansion slot.

Then there’s the pre-installed social stuff, like Facebook and Twitter. It’s just a basic phone designed to look cute. The price and availability of the LG C320 Lady is unknown. Why do they call them the fairer sex anyway? It’s hardly fair that she expects me to turn my PS3 off and spend time with her, instead of earning new weapons in Call Of Duty.

We don’t see too many phones that are geared toward women, but Pantech has just announced its second Android smartphone, the IM-A630K “Crystal de Izar”. And this one is targeted at the fairer sex. The crystal styling at the bottom can light up in different colors, so I guess they think women love shiny lights.

Some specifications of the Pantech IM-A630K include a 3.2-inch WVGA touchscreen display, Bluetooth, T-DMB TV tuner, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB memory card bundled and of course the Android OS.

NEC is readying their LaVie S notebooks, which are strong enough for a man but made for a woman. They reportedly come with a Core i5 CPU option. The ‘S’ stands for ‘Slim’ since they are just 35mm thin and weigh in at 2.4kg.

Three models will be launched. The LS150, the LS350, and the LS550: priced at 1,15,000 yen($1250), 1,31,500 yen ($1430) and 1,50,000 yen ($1,631). The LS550/AS6 comes with the Core i5-430M (2.26GHz, built-in video circuitry), an HM55 Express Chipset, 4GB Memory, a 500GB HDD, DVD writer, and a 15.6–inch LED backlit, low-reflection LCD.

If you are a lady or in a glam rock band, you’ll love this. If you happen to be in Japan anyway. Cosmetic company Shiseido has outted some Digital Cosmetic Mirrors in Tokyo malls to help ladies pick out makeup quicker.

The machine can recommend products for the user’s skin type and allow them to view it applied via augmented reality. When you are done, the machine prints out a shopping list and gives you before and after pictures to take with you.

Seems like whenever gadget makers offer women new products, it either involves make-up, the color pink or something for their purse. Well, this one covers all of those bases. Just press the button and you’ll be able to find whatever you are looking for. Seems we’ve heard of this before, when it was called a flashlight. Of course it comes in stylish designs such as zebra, leopard, chrome, and black. And yeah, pink too.

Here’s yet another gadget aimed at women from a company who thinks that making it look like a cute little purse will have them selling like hotcakes. It looks soft and frilly and goes with your bag so of course you’ll love it right? Probably not.

Japan-based electronics maker Greenhouse has announced the GHV-DV30HDLXW/P today, a video camera specifically designed for women. Obviously. It’s available in two colors, white and…pink. Buyers will also get a cute pouch to match the color of the camera.

Women are always so concerned about what their butt looks like in new clothes. Rightly so. After all, us guys do our fair share of checking them out. Well now women have the Buttcam to help them out in dressing rooms, so they won’t have to ask “Do these pants make my butt look big?” At least in Australia, where the Buttcam has made it’s debut.

Aussie retailer Jeans West took simple video camera technology and created a way to let shoppers decide for themselves just how big that butt looks in pants. It’s a simple solution to a common woman problem.

The Samsung S5050 doesn’t have much to brag about when it comes to specifications. It’s a plain-jane phone with EDGE, Bluetooth, FM radio and a 3.2MP camera. You can save photos on a MicroSDHC card. (8GB max)

Just ten or so days after Dell officially launched the female-oriented Della, a site that helps women find computers to hold their recipes and count their calories, it’s over. Word is, that Dell broke up with her via a text message. Dell just wasn’t that into you baby.

She’s been replaced, with the similar, yet less femininely named “Lifestyle.”

It had to happen sooner or later. After all Dell has been cranking out tons of wild and attractively artsy laptops. Well, Dell just launched a new website for the ladies called “Della”. The idea is that the site will give you a more womanly shopping experience.

This boils down to a bunch of pics of women doing there thing around Dell products. Oh and there’s the usual crap that suggests they don’t take you ladies seriously. Stuff like “finding recipes,” “counting calories,” and “guided meditations” on the Tech Tips page.

Nikita Buyanov made a bunch of concept laptops for HP-Intel, custom made specifically for women. The laptops come with a range of interesting features, aimed at the fairer sex. There’s some crazy stuff. Like laptops that double as weighing machines, some that carry makeup, with features like mirror mode and a built-in on-nail printing device. The Chameleon, for instance, changes color to blend with its surroundings.

The one that would likely be most offensive to women is pictured above, HP Makeup. It’s obscenely pink and if you press the big button, the screen will change to mirror mode so they can apply makeup. It also has an on-nail printing device.

Buffalo has released a new external 2.5 HDD It’s available in Ruby Red, Crystal Black, and Pearl White. The Buffalo HD-PEU2-RD 2.5 Inch external hard disk drive comes with a capacity ranging from 250GB to 500GB.

It was specially designed for women with its sleek design and colors, though presumably a man can use it too without being laughed at and branded a sissy. The Buffalo HD-PEU2-RD external HDD is compatible with both PC and Mac. It’s just like all the others, but in a nicer body.

The LG Versa may be one to look out for. It will feature a bunch of accessories aimed at fashionistas, with fashionable items from the likes of Liz Claiborne and Dooney & Burke, plus several water resistant, sport, and plain leather cases that will keep the Versa safe.

The LG Versa itself will launch in March for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a contract. If you want, you can spend another $29.99 for a compatible game pad controller for cell phone gaming.

It really has to suck for you gals who are into technology. You deserve more than just pink gadgets. Because you are smarter then they give you credit for. You deserve high end specs and “pretty” that comes in a variety of colors with an elegant design. Sadly, this new Motorola basic phone fits the usual stereotype: pink with regular specs.

The design however is a little nicer then the usual offerings. It’s subtle and elegant. It still has pink, but it’s discreet with 3.5G. The Motorola PEBL Rose Bloom will be available in Korea from SK telecom. No word on price yet. We know that it features a touch sensitive external panel, a 2 MP camera, a 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth and HSDPA.
