You might remember that Mad Catz scored the exclusive rights to produce Xbox 360 wireless headphones not long ago. Well here they are here and apparently they don’t need to be tethered to your controller for voice chat or plugged into a wall to charge. The new Mad Catz Warhead 7.1 gets everything it needs from a base station connected to your console. Using USB and optical cables directly from the Xbox 360 to the tower shown above, and it will supposedly deliver enough 5.8GHz bandwidth for virtual Dolby surround sound on four pairs of headphones at once — plus wireless Xbox LIVE audio chat. Pretty awesome.

The USB base station will also give you an on-screen battery readout, and there’s a second swappable battery pack in the base station’s charger. It will be under $300 this holiday season.

The new iPlay WH-1155-Black wireless stereo headphones are now available for just $19.88. They feature a built-in FM transmitter, so you can listen to your favorite radio stations on the go. The headphones also boast a two-channel feature, and include a channel selector switch for easy control.

The transmitter features a built-in auto scan for the FM radio, so you can always find FM radio stations in your area. These headphones are also big enough to cover your ears and cancel outside noise, which makes your music all the better.

Mad Catz, the well known manufacturers of all kinds of video game accessories has just struck a deal with Microsoft for exclusive rights to produce wireless gaming headphones for the Xbox 360.

The Mad Catz headsets will feature Dolby 5.1 technology, but other than that we have no details. We do know that we can expect these headsets in stores this holiday season. Mad Catz should do very well with this exclusive deal. Maybe next they will corner the wireless PS3 headset market.

I have already mentioned today that Sennheiser has unveiled a couple new headsets aimed at computer users who use VOIP. Those are not the only new offerings that Sennheiser is showing off today though. The company has also announced three new sets of wireless headphones that will be coming soon.

The new wireless headphones include the RS 160, RS 170, and RS180. The wireless range varies with the model and the 160 has a 20 meter range, the 170 offers 80 meters, and the 180 has a 100 meter range, all within the line of sight. All three headphones have padded ear cups for long wear without discomfort.
