Westinghouse announces its first 3D HDTV

Westinghouse is now finally ready for 3D, with the 47-inch W47S2TCD. It comes with four included pairs of 3D glasses, a passive 1080p 3D display, 3:2 pulldown, three-way selectable color temperature, and a backlight enhancement tool called DayBright.

But that’s not all. They are also unveiling five other TVs and one of them is a connected TV: the 46-inch WC-4625T which has access to Netflix and Vudu. The 47-inch 3D TV will be available at Best Buy, Costco, and Target for $1199.

Westinghouse unveils affordable LED TVs

In the market for a new LED TV? Westinghouse just introduced several affordable LED HDTVs, priced for those on a budget. They measure just 1-inch at the edges. There is a downside though.

It doesn’t support HDMI 1.4a, which means no 3D support for you. Models up to the 42-inch model are Energy Star 5.0 compliant, while certain models also support being hung up using a wall hanger, instead of a specialized mount.

Westinghouse TX-42F450S

Westinghouse Digital is getting ready to add a new LCD HDTV to is line up in February. It is called the TX-42F450S and it will retail for around $700.

The Westinghouse TX-42F450S is a 42-inch display which offers HD support for 1920 x 1080 resolution, or 1080p. It comes with a built-in ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner and sports a total of four HDMI connectors.

Westinghouse L2610NW

Westinghouse recently began shipping some new LCD monitors it has first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show. This new displays include the L2610NW, L2210NW and L1916HW, priced at around $500, $300 and $270 respectively.

There’s nothing too outstanding about these displays when you look at the specs. The L2160NW is a 26-inch model which does typical 1080p duty at 1920 x 1200 resolution. The dynamic contrast is 3000:1 and you also get a HDMI connector. The L2210NW, meanwhile, is a 22-inch display doing 1680 x 1050 resolution.

New Westinghouse display has built-in DVD player

Westinghouse VK-40F580DWestinghouse is introducing a new 40-inch LCD 1080p display which pulls double duty as a DVD player. It is known as the Westinghouse VK-40F580D and you’ll find it pricing around $1,150.

The Westinghouse VK-40F580D offers 1080p resolution on its 40-inch display, bringing to HD lovers as well two HDMI inputs and an integrated ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner. It also has built-in a front slot loading DVD player which, unfortunately, does not seem to offer upscaling.
