We’ve featured some pretty badass weapons here at the ‘Brick. This one is maybe the most depressing gun we’ve ever seen. But tough economic times call for a special brand of gun I guess. Great for the Wall street dude or banker who has just lost a vast fortune and is too chicken to take the plunge off a skyscraper. Actually, their victims could probably appreciate this gun too.

It’s a one shot weapon made for one thing only. Suicide. It makes the revolver ring look tame in comparison as well as the almighty Blast Knuckles.

There’s a new stun gun in town. It’s name is the X12. It will stop you stone cold. The X12 stun gun was launched at the Global Security Asia 2009 event on Thursday and all kinds of law enforcement agencies want in. The X12 fires a jolt wirelessly through the air and can even cut through clothing to paralyze a perpetrator up to 88 feet away.

The product will be available in June, so criminals better shape up by then as geting hit with this thing doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun. Sure, they say “It can penetrate clothing and transmit electrical impulses, causing the body to be temporarily paralysed, unlike conventional stun guns which causes immobility by causing pain.” But our guess is it has to hurt to be effective.

We’ve covered our share of Wii guns here at the brick. Machine guns, Pistols, even the Wiimote assassination kit, but I believe this is the first rifle that is actually three weapons in one.

The Sure Shot Wii Rifle was unveiled at CES 2009. It’s from CTA Digital and features a removable stock and barrel, three modes, and is compatible with nearly all shooting games on the Wii. That last bit is a big plus. You can hit the link below to check out a video.

These are great for part-time Ninjas and Superheroes who don’t have a utility belt. The Pocket Grappling Hook is $27, the Micro Pocket Grappling Hook version is $22 and both are awesome. The Pocket Grappling Hook is a pocket size Hook(1″ x 5.5″) , with spikes that unscrew and are stored in the water resistant “o”-ring sealed body.

To use the Micro Grappling Hook just retrieve it from your pocket, unscrew the base to reveal the three tiny spikes, then thread them into their holes. Then it’s just recap and swing the hook toward the target. And you larger figured heroes needn’t worry. It’s been lab tested to hold more than 350 lbs. Anyway, I have never seen anybody that huge trying to throw a grapple and climb anything.

As kids, we all built our share of toy weapons out of LEGO, but the end result was always a mess of different colored bricks that just looked weird. Here are some more authentic looking weapons. We told you about the Glock 17, but BrickGun actually has several models available. The BrickGun models are surprisingly accurate when compared to their real life counterparts. It will make your guns sparkling clean though. This has Sarah Connor written all over it. If mankind’s future depends on protecting John Connor and forming a resistance against the cyborg threat, you are gonna want your equipment clean and thus less likely to malfunction.

It’s essentially a dishwasher for guns, making it quick and easy to clean them so you can get right back out there and kill stuff. Or whatever it is you do. It will clean up to 10 handguns or 4 long guns at the same time. Clean guns…That’s what will win against SkyNet, no matter how many Terminator’s they send your way.

We’ve come across our share of Wii accessories, some cool, some odd, all entertaining. So we thought we’d make a list of some of the stranger Wiimote gadgets and celebrate this odd gaming phenomenon. Next time you go to grab your little Taser stunner out of your purse, think about this: what would even be more frightening to a potential mugger is a grandma wielding a Taser shotgun. That’s right - Taser has announced an extended range projectile to add to your Taser arsenal.

Taser is of course targeting law enforcement with its new eXtended Range Electronic Projectile (XREP). It will fit any standard 12-gauge shotgun and smack you down with “the same Neuro-Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) bio-effect as our handheld TASER X26, but can be delivered to a distance of up to 100 feet, combining blunt impact with field proven TASER NMI.” Each projectile will come pre-packaged in a shell compatible with 12-gauge shotguns and will be transparent so police known which type of ammo they are taking you down with.

The Danish company Empire North is currently working on a special kind of sniper rifle. When gamers hear the words ‘sniper rifle’ they immediately think of some first person shooter game or another. However, this is not the case with this particular rifle.

Empire North is working on a GPS-based sniper rifle dubbed ID Sniper that is built to embed a tiny GPS tracking device on a target up to 1.1km away. This rifle will also be able to take pictures of the ‘target’ with the scope. Straight from the movies, the target will not feel the GPS device hit him/her/it.

Empire North states that, “it feels like getting a small mosquito bite and that [the] pain is absolutely minimal.” This rifle, taken directly from Hollywood, is sure to have some useful purposes.

How many games have you played that featured a railgun as a weapon? I’m guessing just a few under a thousand. From Halo to Stargate to the movie Eraser, railguns are just as much a part of the sci-fi genre as bad acting and large-chested blue aliens. Now however, railguns are no longer science fiction. They are a reality for the US Navy.

The Navy demonstrated its new toy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The weapon uses electromagnetism to propel non-explosive projectiles to high speeds. The new weapon should increase the range of US Navy vessels as well as decrease the cost. The railgun is expected to replace the expensive Tomahawk missile saving the Navy a lot of money.
