Apparently, the future of exercise involves lots and lots of water. Think Luke Skywalker in that Bacta tank in Empire, but for exercise instead of rapid healing. Hydro training has many benefits and it’s accepted that water based exercises boost muscular strength with little adverse affects. The Hydro Physio Lifestyle range has been designed to take advantage of the benefits of water exercising to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals with a less stressful method of training.

The Hydro Physio Lifestyle is easy to install too. Variable water heights enable different muscle groups to be worked on. This feature also makes the unit adaptable to the height and mass of each user, so no one needs to be left out.

The Duff can is used to tune the radio and adjust the volume. Apparently, he’s waterproof and requires a set of AAA batteries to run. He will cost you $40.

Here’s another one of those ideas that is so simple it’s amazing no one has come up with it before. It’s actually the work of a genius. It’s a plastic bottle with a special cap that holds 1.4 grams of a powder, like powdered green tea for instance. It’s released into the water below when it’s twisted open. So, you can mix fresh powdered drinks from a standalone bottle that you buy at the store.

I know, I know. In a way it’s pointless. Powder doesn’t need to be fresh and you can already buy your drinks premixed. But it’s just the kind of cool thing we would have seen Marty McFly do in the future.(Had the writers thought of it.) I see more of a future in using the caps with bottles you already reuse so you can have something on the go, when you need it.

I bet you never pictured this in your bathroom. The WashUP concept puts a washing machine directly on top of your toilet. The idea here is recycling. No one really cares where the water that you use for flushing comes from, after all. When the washing cycle is complete, the water that just cleaned your clothes is stored in a reservoir where it will be used again to flush the toilet. It’s a pretty ingenious way to conserve water and get twice the use out of a given amount.

One selling point is that the washing machine is higher off the ground, so it’s easier on your back as you load and unload clothing. Plus, this is good for apartment dwellers who don’t have room for a typical washing machine. I assume it can’t back up and filth up your clothes.

If you need to unwind, the RelaxStyle Room Palette Effect lamp might be just your thing. It will transport you to a peaceful undersea world at the push of a button. The lamp projects light onto your walls or ceiling that looks like waves. This gives users the feeling of being submerged in water, looking up into the sunlight.

It has a timer that will automatically shut the light show down after 120 minutes. You will know you use this too much when your mind is altered enough for you to start singing about living in a yellow submarine. Or about how you would love to live in an Octopus’ gaden in the shade.

Forget batteries or an outlet. How about a clock that is powered by any liquid? Well, almost any. You wouldn’t want it to run on urine, though I bet it would work. Once you fill it up, the LCD display will provide the time and date while it draws power from the electrons in the water.

It’s cheap at $13 and if you already have plants to water, you won’t forget to water your clock. Of course, if you have been known to kill plants, you will probably be clueless as to what time it is. Just make it easy on yourself by giving the clock a drink everytime you have one and you should be alright. I can’t figure out what the mirror finish is all about.
