Sony has a new audio system: the Sony CMT-CX5. It’s a wall mounted system that includes an iPhone, iPod dock, CD player and DAB/DAB+/FM radio. Its also has USB connectivity so that you can attach and play audio from an external hard drive, or flash drive.

The CMT-CX5 uses Sony’s Dynamic Sound Generator Xtra (DSGX) technology and will be available in either black or white. It launches next month. Sadly we don’t have any info regarding pricing and availability yet.

iPod docks that you can mount on your wall are not new, but they are rarer than your typical dock. Pioneer is offering the KODO XW-NAW1 for £199 (that’s about $300). The KODO XW-NAW1 is slim enough for the job at 83mm and can be placed on your desk with a matching stand.

It’s compatible with iPhones and iPods and the 30W stereo speaker has touch sensor controls and can output video with the component video port.

Space is always an issue with PCs, so Originatic is aiming to put them on your wall. Scheduled for the CES ’09 debut is the all-in-one wall-mounted Smart-Leaf PC, designed with space-saving in mind. If you’re a casual PC user, it’s worth a look.

In Vegas, Originatic will showcase two of these PCs, the Smart-Leaf Oasis and the Smart-Leaf Mountain. The former features a touchscreen, fold-out keyboard, trackpad, TV tuner and Wi-Fi, and is perfect for the home, the latter features all keyboard lock and a trackball in addition to the other’s features, but lacks the TV tuner. That one is for business use.

Jamo has announced the A 804 wall-mounted speaker. The A 804 will help you out by not having to buy separate home theater audio components when one model will do it all for you, with good performance in a slim speaker.

The A 804 sports a contemporary design that will match most flat panel TV’s. It can be mounted horizontally and vertically, so it works well as a center channel or a front left or right, even rear surround speaker. Under the hood, the A 804 shows off Danish audio design. The .75-inch silk-dome tweeter featuring Jamo’s proprietary WaveGuide technology makes for clean, clear highs, while the 4.5-inch midrange and two 4.5-inch woofers provide stirring midrange and deep bass.
