ViewSonic offers new widescreen PJ359w projector

Viewsonic PJ359wWhen it comes to affordable, big picture widescreen movies and gaming the route to take is a projector. With a projector, you can get HD images as large as traditional HDTVs for a fraction of the cost. To get a 100-inch image on a plasma or LCD TV would run tens of thousands of dollars where a projector can easily do it for a few thousand dollars.

ViewSonic has introduced a new projector aimed at used looking for widescreen resolution and full 1080p image quality. The projector is called the PJ359w and offers 2000 lumens of brightness and a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution.

Viewsonic introduces two digital photo frames for the holidays

Viewsonic Digital Photo FrameAny parent or person who takes lots of digital pictures will like a digital photo frame this holiday season. A digital frame is a very easy way to get the photos a person takes from the computer to a photo frame for viewing — without having to print them out.

Viewsonic has introduced a pair of new digital photo frames called the DPG801BK and the DPG807BK that start at $129 and feature SwifTouch touch screen technology. The touch screen technology used by Viewsonic prevents clutter and smudges on the screen.

One of the newest Viewsonic displays to market is a combo unit which is friendly with PCs and DVDs. It is called the N2201w and you’ll find it listing at retail around $430.

The Viewsonic N2201w is a 22-inch display which pulls triple duty as a computer display, HDTV and DVD player. It has a HD resolution of 1680×1050, 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio and wide viewing angles. It also sports multiple inputs, including for ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital TV tuner and HDMI as well as PC.

ViewSonic earlier this week unveiled a new wide format monitor which it is targeting towards those who enjoy media on their PCs. It is called the ViewSonic VA2626wm and pricing is said to be around $530.

The ViewSonic VA2626wm is a 26-inch display which offers 1080p HD support and multiple inputs, including HDMI, VGA and DVI with HDCP compatibility. It also has integrated into the body 2.5-inch dual stereo speakers with SRS WOW HD technology.

Viewsonic goes digital picture frame crazy with 10 new models

Viewsonic has a bunch of new digital picture frames coming your way which will saturate a market which already seems to have too many of this type of product. The company is specifically rolling out 10 customizable which will range in size from 7- to 10-inches and price from around $140 to $180 or more, depending upon the specific model.

Viewsonic says its new digital frames – the 10-inch DPX1002, 8-inch DPX802WD, DPX802WD-BW and DPX802BSL-BW and 7-inch DPX702BSL-BW, DPX702WD-BW and DPX702WD feature interchangeable bezels – including wood, black and silver, or black and white. All come standard with 256MB of internal memory, can have photos uploaded to them through a variety of methods and have a built-in battery for wire-free environments.
