ViewSonic outs new All-In-One Desktop PC

ViewSonic has just announced a new all-in-one desktop PC dubbed the VPC220T. Like all AIO’s it will save you some desk space and offers a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit multi-touch display, a 3.06GHz Intel Pentium E6600 processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce 310M graphics card with 512MB of VRAM.

Other features include 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, a DVD writer, a 4-in-1 card reader, WiFi, an HDMI port, two 3W speakers and it comes pre-loaded with Windows 7 Professional.

Viewsonic delivers new 3D devices

Stereoscopic 3D is all the rage this year. Big name consumer electronics manufacturers are outing all kinds of 3D devices and small names as well. Viewsonic is introducing their range of 3D devices Stateside.

There’s the $180 3DV5 pocket camcorder that can do 720p video recording and shoot 5-megapixel still photos in both 3D and 2D. Then there’s the similarly priced 3DPF8, an 8-inch digital photo frame that also supports 3D videos and photos. And you won’t need a pair of 3D glasses to go with it.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7 tablet up for pre-order for $599

ViewSonic’s ViewPad 7 tablet is on sale at Amazon for $599. That’s over a hundred dollars more than it was supposed to cost. This will no doubt hurt the devices sales, despite the 600MHz ARM CPU and front and rear-facing cameras on board.

Since Samsung’s Galaxy Tab doesn’t have phone functionality in the states, there is a market for a seven-inch Froyo tablet that can do voice calls, but that price is a deal-breaker. What do you think?

ViewSonic announces Eco-friendly VG36-LED Series displays

ViewSonic’s latest LCD monitor range, the VG36-LED Series is all about going green. The series includes the 22-inch VG2236wm-LED and the 24-inch VG2436wm-LED displays, which both have LED-backlit panels, a native 1920 x 1080 resolution display, VGA/DVI connectivity, 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio and built-in speakers.

Of course there are also Energy Star and EPEAT Gold certifications and these will feature energy savings of up to 50 percent. Both displays are available now for $229 and $259 respectively.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7 Android Tablet now available for pre-order in the UK

The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 Android tablet is now available for pre-order in the UK in Misco’s online store. The tablet will cost you 399.99 GBP (or about $638). The ViewPad 7 features a 7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, along with a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor.

Some other features include 512MB of RAM, 512MB of flash memory, a full-sized SIM card slot, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), a 3-megapixel camera, a front-facing VGA camera for video calling, G-sensor, A-GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and Android 2.2 Froyo runs the show.

ViewSonic’s latest multi-touch LCD monitor is called the VX2258wm. Not a very exciting name, but this Windows 7 Touch certified 21.5-inch monitor delivers 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness and a 5ms response time.

It also features two built-in 2W speakers and has D-Sub, DVI, USB and 3.5mm audio in/out connectors. The ViewSonic VX2258wm is available for purchase right now at Amazon for $319.99.

Viewsonic outs 24-inch V3D241wm-LED monitor with 3D glasses

Viewsonic has introduced a new 24-inch V3D241wm-LED 3D monitor, and unlike some other companies, it comes with a pair of active 3D glasses. Viewsonic claims that their 120Hz frame rate, and 2ms response time is the best for your gaming and movies so far.

Some other features include two watt speakers, 300 nits of brightness, an amazingly OMG 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and an Eco mode to cut down on power consumption.

Viewsonic unveils a hybrid PMP / E-book Reader

When you think of portable media players, chances are you think of an iPod. Well, here’s a new hybrid pmp/ebook reader that sports a 7-inch touchscreen display at 800 × 480 resolution, 1080p HD playback and an HDMI output.

So you can watch HD movies on your TV, of course. The MB-P702 will support a wide range of video and audio formats, and does PDF, TXT, EPUB, CHM, HTML, PDB and UMD document files too. Nothing on pricing yet, but hopefully we will know more soon.

ViewSonic at IFA gave away many of the details surrounding its dual-booting ViewPad tablet. Now dubbed the ViewPad 100, the 10-inch tablet runs on a 1.66GHz Atom and uses either Windows 7 or the now old Android 1.6; either side supports multi-touch. It uses just a 16GB solid-state drive, but an SDHC card slot provides most of the bulk storage.

Many of the other specs are similar to those of a current netbook. It outputs at a native 1024×600 display and holds 1GB of DDR3 memory. There’s Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi, with two USB ports, a 1.3-megapixel webcam and a VGA video output.

ViewSonic to introduce dual-boot tablet with Android and Windows

So do you get a tablet with windows or with Android? Decisions decisions. Well, the upcoming ViewSonic tablet will make your choice easier as the 10-inch tablet device features an Intel-based chipset that will allow users to dual-boot Windows and Android.

The company is also reportedly working on a 7-inch Android tablet that with 3G, Wi-Fi, an accelerometer, a USB port, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. The market is already being flooded with tablet devices, but these may just stand out.

Attack of the tablets continues. In this installment, we have news that Viewsonic has some tablet plans of their own. They are not content with LCDs. The company is preparing a 7-inch Android 2.2. Froyo tablet. The tablet is expected to include GSM/UMTS connectivity, for voice calls and presumably data access as well, with a rear-mounted camera.

Pricing for the UK launch should be between £300 and £400 ($478 to $637) with a debut predicted within two months or less. That isn’t too much of a wait.

Viewsonic’s NexTV VMP75 media streamer now shipping

Viewsonic announced its NexTV VMP75 media streamer last month, but we didn’t have a date as to when we could expect it. Now we have our answer. The device is shipping now from Amazon and Newegg.

The official release date is July 19th, but who knows, you could receive it before then if you’ve already pre-ordered the device or get your order in soon. The device itself is listed at $129.99, and will give you Netflix streaming, and support for playback of content from either your home network or an attached drive.

Viewsonic unveils VMP75 digital media player

Viewsonic has been creeping into categories where it hasn’t traditionally played over the last months. The company now offers things like netbooks and notebooks and has unveiled its first network media player.

The device is called the VMP75 and it can stream just about every audio and video format around. The system can stream online content like Netflix, YouTube, Live3655, Flickr and more. You can also shoot media on your PC over the to the TV in the living room.

ViewSonic’s VX2250wm-LED monitors go green

ViewSonic has decided to go green with the VX2250wm monitors. These monitors will save energy and consuming less resources, which is always a good thing. The company claims that this model can save up to 40% of the energy compared to a regular 22 inch monitor.

Going green doesn’t mean compromising visuals though. You’ll get amazing clarity with the 10,000,000:1 MEGA DCR and Full HD 1080p ViewLED technology. There’s also some color corrective technology used with a mercury-free WLED backlight.

ViewSonic is offering the new VX2739wm full HD LCD monitor, which features a 27″ design with a 1ms response time. The company claims that it’s a world’s first for a device in this category. At that speed, you shouldn’t have any issues at all playing games or otherwise on this 1080p display.

Some other features include a 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and SRS Premium Sound. At $349, it’s tempting. Should provide a lot of bang for your buck.
