Verbatim wireless notebook mouse gets tiny USB dongle

Posted in Mouse by Shane McGlaun on May 22nd, 2009

verbatimnanomouse-sbIf you buy a typical wireless notebook mouse today, the USB adapter the thing needs can be about the size of a traditional pack of gum. That’s not so bad if you are working form a desktop that you never move, but if you are working form a notebook that you carry around the chances of breaking that big dongle are good.

A while back Logitech introduced a VX Nano cordless mouse with a tiny USB dongle to prevent damage. Verbatim has now unveiled a very similar wireless mouse called the Nano Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse. The mouse has a tiny USB dongle that only protrudes from the notebook a few millimeters.

Verbatim unveils speedy new quad interface external hard drives

Verbatim Quad Interface Hard DriveOne of the products that I see a lot of each year at CES is external storage solutions. The usual companies like Seagate and other places offer a full line of external solutions, but it never ceases to impress me at the number of small firms I have not heard of that offer external storage.

One of the smaller firms, which I have heard of before, called Verbatim has announced a pair of new external hard drives that feature fast 7200 rpm 3.5-inch hard drives inside small enclosures. The drives feature quad interfaces and work with Mac and Windows computers.

Even mom could use the Verbatim PhotoSave DVD (maybe)

Verbatim PhotoSave DVDNot so long ago my mom moved from the old school Polaroid that spits out the pictures that develop in front of you to a digital camera. This was not so fun for me because she couldn’t understand how to save pictures to the computer and print them out. She also couldn’t figure out how to put pictures on a DVD.

Verbatim has announced new DVD media called PhotoSave that is perfect for all the parents and grandparents out there driving their family crazy trying to figure out how to save images to DVD. The PhotoSave DVD has integrated software that launches automatically when the disk is inserted into a DVD-R drive.
