We’ve seen our share of useless gadgets, no question about it. They don’t get more useless then the USB volcano. I mean, they could have done something cool with this. How about a little diorama with some ancient civilization dropping a virgin or two into the thing? What about making it a real lava spewer(Okay, nothing harmful that will melt flesh) that’s also a bank, where you have to feed it coins so it doesn’t go all Krakatoa all over your desk? Or what about having a tiny remote control robot in the case with the volcano that you can send in and get readings like a real science kind of deal?
I guess to Korg size doesn’t matter, since they’re flaunting their tiny USB keyboards. It’s Korg’s new line of nanoSeries USB keyboards, that measure just 320mm across, and are super slim too. The line consists of a tiny keyboard, synth pad and fader deck. All of the drum pads apparently perform just fine despite their size, though the faders seam cheap. Still, it’s perfect for the musician with tiny hands. The nanoKey will cost you about $90, while the nanoKontrol and nanoPad are both $109.

Some of the stuff you put inside other stuff, which connects to still more stuff, which you have to disconnect to recharge other stuff. It’s enough to drive you crazy. Wires, docks and slots are everywhere, sometimes you can;t find your computer. Well here’s a great solution.
Looking for a cheap USB thrill for your desk that will provide hours of fun and distract you from your work? You might want to check out this USB Ferris Wheel that’s powered by your typing. I don’t know about hours of fun. That kinda depends on your IQ level.
Out of the two presidential candidates, which is more likely to be hip and use tech to his advantage? Well, the young hip guy apparently. If you are an Obama supporter and want to show the world who your choice for president is, you’ll want the Obama 08 bracelet. The bracelet is the stretchy plastic kind that you’ve seen used for different causes, but this one has a USB plug and video, music, photos, speeches and more stored on it’s flash drive inside the bracelet.
So you’ve got about a hundred lighters laying around, just like you have a huge pile of flash drives, because all you do is smoke like a fiend and save data all day for some reason. I feel your pain. Why not combine the lighter with the flash drive and have both in one convenient device. It’s made to look like a Zippo. A refillable Zippo with an 8GB flash drive and retractable USB connection that slides out of the bottom. The flame is adjustable, but the price is not at $59.99. If the Doors were around today they might sing Come On Baby Light My File.
So you’ve got your

Great for controlling your music, video playback and other multimedia jazz from up to 30m away.
The Eizo C@T-one from Nanao Japan is a roundish mouse that also doubles as a TV remote. The wireless mouse works on the 2.4Ghz frequency, has a scroll wheel and an optical sensor which turns off automatically after 30 minutes in order to save power. It also sports a tilt sensor similar to the iPhone, so that when you tilt the mouse it activates the remote control.
It takes a special kind of nerd to have a glowing radioactive USB sheep on his desk. One who wears goggles even. It’s based on the Seamour Sheep comic series, which follows the misadventures of Seamour and presumably his…sheep. Just plug this little guy into your USB port, dim the lights, and enjoy the smooth soft hues of a glowing electric sheep. Much like
