Groom updates Facebook Relationship status at the altar

Human beings have never been so connected with one another and obsessed with info. Then again, maybe we are all just stupid monkeys tweeting our every move, trying desperately to leave our mark on this world before the Grim Reaper comes tweeting @you.. I iz in yer reality takin ur soul.

Whatever the case, this couple is really into the facebook that all the kids are using. It was a normal wedding ceremony until the groom pulled out his phone and changed his relationship status on Facebook to ‘married’ right there at the altar. The bride followed suit, and the crowd gets a good laugh. Then the preacher says “If it’s official on Facebook, it’s official in my book,” he says.

Xbox Live Dashboard update coming August 11thThe Xbox 360′s next Xbox Live update is coming on August 11. Microsoft confirmed today the launch of the new Xbox Live Games On Demand service, which will launch with more than 30 games. Some examples include Assassin’s Creed, BioShock, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Mass Effect, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

The 11th also brings the introduction of Netflix party support, which allows multiple people to watch Netflix movies together. Also, the Avatar marketplace will launch, offering virtual versions of things like an RC Warthog from Halo.

PS3 Firmware update 2.70

PS3 price cut coming soon?The PS3 is getting yet another firmware update, this time in the form of 2.70 so that Sony can hopefully enhance your connected experience while using the PS3. What are some of the changes that we can expect?

There’s a new Text Chat feature that allows you to keep in touch with your PlayStation Network friends online, that lets you chat with up to 15 different contacts at the same time with the help of a Wireless Keypad. Some other updates are: Friends list on the XMB (XrossMediaBar), Sort your friends via their online status, Attach larger files to the messages you send (from 1MB to 3MB), Video delivery service on PlayStation Store, and Videos you’ve purchased for your PSP system can now be transferred to your PS3 for playback.

Nintendo launches Wii system menu 4.0

Nintendo launches Wii system menu 4.0At long last Nintendo is finally doing something about storage. Finally. You can back up titles to SD and now games can be played straight from the cards. The SD Card Menu can be accessed from the Wii System Menu 4.0. That’s the new update that we are getting right now.

It lets the Wii work with memory cards larger than 2GB, maxing out at 32GB. Nintendo is also launching the new Virtual Console Arcade, that gives you all the old arcade titles on the Wii.

Xbox 360 dashboard update in NovemberMicrosoft has confirmed that the Fall Xbox 360 Dashboard Update will be arriving in November. I guess that’s still fall, but it’s pushing the limit. Previous updates have also been released in November so it’s not that unusual, and all the new features might have caused it to be delayed even more, so consider it a good thing that they have announced a date. In the meantime those sick of waiting for their avatars always have the Wii.
