Ultimate Ears unveils new 6-speaker in-ear pro monitors |
Logitech bought earphone maker Ultimate Ears long ago. I have used some of the consumer earphones from Ultimate Ears before and they are fantastic. The brand tends to be expensive, but they sound great. According to Ultimate Ears, 75% of the musicians on tour use its pro monitors.
The company has introduced its latest set of professional custom monitors called the 18 Pro Custom. The monitors are the first set from the company to use six speakers. Each ear gets six tuned drivers with no distortion.

Musicians often use in-ear monitors so they can hear what they are saying or playing over the crowd and music in the venue. The monitors also help prevent the musicians from losing their hearing over time. Emerging artists may not be able to afford the same high-end ear monitors as the big stars, but they can get custom monitors on the cheap.
One of the things that most music fans notice right away about their new iPod or other MP3 player is that the headphones included with the players leave a lot to be desired. Typically, the most lacking aspect on most earphones or headsets is bass. Thankfully, there are many sets of earphones around that can upgrade the sound quality from your MP3 player.
My iPhone came with a junky pair of Apple earphones that were not only uncomfortable, but didn’t sound very good to boot. This is true of most all earphones included with music phones and MP3 players, which is why the aftermarket for earphones is rather large.
It seems like every new phone that hits the market has the capability to play music today. Along with the capability to play music on a phone comes a requisite headphone jack to allow for private listening. There is a glut of earphones and headphones on the market for consumers to choose from and they all have the same basic design.
