The GadgetTrak iOS application has been updated and released in to the iTunes Store. This app will let you track the location of your iOS devices in the event that they get lost or stolen. GadgetTrak senses when your iPhone or iPad has changed its location and the GadgetTrak server keeps track of where your phone has been.

Tracking data is transmitted over a secure SSL connection and you can also use GadgetTrak to protect your Mac and Windows laptops. Just go to Trak.me from your device or use the in-app button to setup the tracking.

Cellphones with Cyprus touchscreens, like the Nokia S60 and Palm Pre, will have an extra dimension very soon. Hovering. No, they won’t hover by your ear. This is like when you’re working on your desktop computer, and an icon changes when you move your cursor over it. Get it? Starting in the next few months, cellphones will be able to do just that, by detecting your finger near the screen, and letting you hover the cursor without touching the screen.

How’s that for awesome? The lack of finger-hover tracking is one of the lame reasons Apple used for not having Flash on its iPhone or iPad touchscreens, so what will they say now? They may just change their i-tune someday soon.

The service was announced for Australia earlier in the month, but USA users get the first crack at it. One weak point is the lack of a scheduled delivery option, but this may be just a taste of what’s to come as it shows that many differentiating types of applications could find their way to your TiVo box.
