Office Assault: Post-It gun is coolest office gadget ever

Posted in Concepts by Shane McGlaun on April 28th, 2010

One of the few pleasures I had back when I had a real job was burning through as many office supplies as I could in any given week. Post-Its were the favorite fodder around the office. Some folks would stockpile the things like they were Cold War era rations.

The coolest office gadget I have ever seen has surfaced and gives you a way to blow through those Post-It notes even faster. The thing is called the Office Assault: Post-in Gun and it is sweet. It has a clip that you can load with Post-Its and when the trigger is pulled, the sticky notes are pushed out the barrel of the gun.

Dodobongo USB dog

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on March 8th, 2010

We haven’t seen as many cool USB toys lately, but this one got our notice. The Dodobongo USB dog comes from the same folks who gave us the USB Humping Dog. This guy isn’t quite that naughty.

When you plug him in, he will bark, get up and move his head whenever he detects a human body nearby. He sure looks like he’s been eating wayyy too much food. Maybe that’s why he’s the “slowest dog in the world.” He even blushes.

Green Max Robot Toilet Transformer

Posted in Robots by Conner Flynn on February 22nd, 2010

When is the last time you saw a toilet Transformer? It’s a first for me too. There’s actually a toilet maker called TOTO in Japan, who makes “Greenmax” toilets. To market these porcelain thrones they are using this robot action figure. TOTOROBO’s signature catchphrase? That would be “Protect the Earth, GMAX! Ready – Switch, on!”.

It’s too bad that with all the good the company does the environment with their toilets, the creation of this plastic toy with such huge packaging sort of undoes all that and flushes it all away.

Kettquad Pedal-Powered ATV

Posted in Toys by Conner Flynn on February 18th, 2010

Your little one deserves a quality ATV right? Why not buy your little rugrats the Kettquad from Kettler? The German company recently unveiled this four wheeler that features pneumatic tires for off-road terrain and even a protected enclosed chain drive. Looks like a ton of fun.

Expect it to hit the US sometime this year, with your kid hitting a tree soon after. It will retail for between $800 and $1000. It’s for kids 5 to 12 years of age, so don’t let your toddler ride this thing.

This Millennium Falcon actually flies, has no room for cargo

Posted in Star Wars by Conner Flynn on February 16th, 2010

They had to chop away nearly the whole damn ship to do it, but this Millenium Falcon actually flies. And since almost the entire ship is gone, you won’t be smuggling any contraband. We still dig it though.

This 11 by 8-inch Millennium Falcon was released at Toy Fair this year. It’s a must have for any Star Wars fan. The remote-controlled Falcon even comes with a charging controller for the price of $50. And it’s totally easy for any Stormtrooper to disable this bird when it flies away. Just pew pew pew to that fan in the center.

Look out Bowser, Mario drives a Mario Mech

Posted in Toys by Conner Flynn on February 9th, 2010

I don’t think Mario has ever actually done this in a game, but this is exactly how to kick Bowser’s ass. You ride around in a large Mech version of yourself. The Mech Mario was designed by custom toymaker Donald Kennedy aka KodyKiala, who obviously loves Nintendo and is a great artist.

Yep, that’s a little Super Mario controlling a Big Super Mario. I call that awesome even if it is wacky and absurd. I just love all the detail.

The Zamboni Vacuum cleans your desk

Posted in USB by Conner Flynn on January 19th, 2010

Hockey fans will like this one and what the hell, it’s been snowing lately everywhere, so this product seems very timely. This Zamboni ice resurfacer truck vacuum is the perfect way to clean those crumbs from your desk.

That’s where you eat right? Of course it is. And those orange cheetos crumbs are starting to pile up and create a martian beach. There’s no price listed yet, but whatever it costs, I’m sure it’s worth it.

Etch-A-Sketch Freestyle takes some of the fun out of it

Posted in Toys by Conner Flynn on November 15th, 2009

Etch-A-Sketch Freestyle takes some of the fun out of itIt’s always nice when our old gadgets and toys get some modern upgrades, but some things just should not be changed. The Etch-A-Sketch Freestyle gets rid of the traditional 2 controller knob design in favor of a single knob that can swivel 360 degrees.

I don’t know about you, but somehow this design feels like cheating. Half the fun of the classic version is that it requires some skill to use it. This is no Etch A Sketch.

Mini HoverDrone is sure to annoy those around you

Posted in R/C Toys by Conner Flynn on November 1st, 2009

Mini HoverDrone is sure to annoy those around youThe Mini HoverDrone is said to be the smallest flying R/C device yet. It boasts a diameter about the size of a silver dollar, with a lone propeller at the bottom that lets it hover in the air, spin and flash its blue LEDs to annoy everyone you love.

Most RC toys are hard to fly and complicated. A simple slider control handles up-and-down movement, so just about anybody can control it easily. It’s only $19.99. The only downside is that all it does is your basic up and down.

Autofetch Motion Pet Ball

Posted in Pets by Conner Flynn on October 30th, 2009

Autofetch Motion Pet BallIf you own a dog and are too lazy to take it out and get some exercise, first of all shame on you. Secondly, you might want to try this Autofetch Ball. The ball features a space inside for you to stick your dog’s favorite treats.

After that just let the internal gyro-drive do the work and spin around, keeping your pet entertained. Don’t expect your dog bring the toy back though. He has no incentive having already gotten his treats.

Sure, they are slightly ugly, but they are for the serious Lego addict who doesn’t mind. Rubik's TouchCube: The first touchscreen Rubik's CubeRemember that Rubik’s Touchcube that we told you about back in February? Looks like QVC has it first, so if you want to be the first on your block to get one, you better watch.

The touch sensitive, swipe-controlled cube will be available to buy on the Christmas in July segment this weekend. There’s even an accelerometer built into the cube so that only the upwards-facing surfaces respond to your touch.

Tengu Allstars: Little USB people rocking the afro

Tengu Allstars: Little USB people rocking the afroYou may know Tengu, the interactive USB powered device that reacts to sound, and uses LED lights to display animated faces. Well, they are back in the form of Tengu Allstars. The new range includes three different looks, with addition of some colorful afros.

The first one is named Rotten, an anarchist, punk rocker type. The second is Stardust, a glam rocker, while the third is Woodstock, who is a trippy hippie from the 1960s.
