JVC TH-BA1 and TH-SB100 4.1 channel soundbar speakers |
JVC’s latest pair of soundbars, the TH-BA1 and TH-SB100 are basically the same unit, but the TH-SB100 has a JVC Blu-ray player along for the ride for your home theater needs. The low-profile soundbars include four individually housed 3 3/16″speakers, an amplifier and a sound processor with 220 watts of total system power.
They decode Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS decoding. The two outside speakers deliver the left and right channel information, while the middle two deliver center channel information plus the surround/left and surround/right channels.

In the US, JVC fans have had to watch with envy as the rest of the world gets all of the JVC Blu-ray products. Not anymore. Today JVC announced a stand-alone Blu-ray player and a 3.1 home theater in a box. The XV-PB1 Blu-ray player will be available in March for $299. It will support BD Live content and also playback AVCHD videos that you create on your HD camcorder.
