Climbing UP Suitcase eases your burden |
Though it’s just a concept for the moment, the Climbing UP suitcase designed by Woo Moonhyung makes dragging your suitcase around much easier. Especially on uneven surfaces or up stairs. Most suitcases use just a single set of wheels on the bottom, but not the Climbing UP suitcase. Instead, it has rubber belt tracks like a tank, along the length of it’s body.
It makes it much easier to pull your suitcase up stairs, and with the track along it’s entire length, it’s easier to handle from either side. It’s not motorized, but the design doesn’t add much weight. It just adds that extra little nudge to help you get a bit of a break.

This Suitcase is also a folding Bicycle from Happy bike, designed by believe. It’s not just a concept, it’s really for sale. The bike can be folded down into a complete suitcase and they say that you can open or fold it down in only 10 seconds. It only weighs 8-9 KG. I’m not sure that it would actually hold much as a suitcase, but if you travel light, just imagine getting off of a plane, walking through the airport and transforming your suitcase into a dork bike for the ride home.
The conventional shape of luggage isn’t exactly ideal. It isn’t easy lugging around square and rectangular bags that are filled to bursting, even when they have small wheels. So why not make the entire thing a rolling wheel?
