Waffle maker puts waffles on a stick

Posted in Home by Conner Flynn on June 30th, 2010

This one is a game changer, shattering all your preconceptions about waffles. Lolly is a waffle maker that produces 9.4-inch waffle cones on a stick. Waffles on a stick!

Lolly comes from Triangular Concept and can make four of these delicious-looking waffle-sicles in under two minutes. Or I guess you could use an ordinary waffle maker and insert your own stick if you want.

NHL Slapshot comes with Wayne Gretzky approved Wiimote hockey stick

Posted in Wii by Conner Flynn on June 1st, 2010

Hard to believe a Hockey game hasn’t come bundled with a Wiimote hockey stick until now. This one is even endorsed by Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky himself. The game is EA’s upcoming NHL Slapshot, which comes with the small hockey stick shown above.

The stick holds both the Wiimote and nunchuck and has a foam blade that your TV will thank you for. I almost laughed when I read that Gretzky says that the stick is “very realistic” and “almost like playing in the NHL”. His drive to make money is also very realistic, and almost like playing in the NHL.

Ghetto mod: Tupperware Arcade Stick

Ghetto mod: Tupperware Arcade Stick This is either pure genius, or pure “I’m broke as &%#&, but that ain’t gonna stop me from making an arcade stick.” I can’t decide which. Though I can sympathize. Sometimes you just don’t have a cool case for your mod.

In that situation I usually just wait to do my mod, until I’ve found a good case rather then assault my mom’s fake tupperware. But hey, that’s just me. The controller is compatible with the PS2 as well as picnics everywhere.

IBM develops ZTIC USB stick for secure internet banking

Posted in IBM by Conner Flynn on March 4th, 2009

IBM develops ZTIC USB stick for secure internet bankingZTIC (Zone Trusted Information Channel) is a USB stick designed for secure online banking, even if your computer is crawling with viruses. The stick was developed in Zurich by IBM and opens an SSL connection with the bank’s servers, keeping the data safely on its side (it has no storage of its own) and displaying the transaction details on the hardware.

Even if your connection is breached, the hacker will be exposed on the device’s display. Pricing and availability are still up in the air. IBM hopes to entice banks into buying it for online banking, which saves banks money on personnel costs but is constantly under siege by hackers.

Google Chrome USB flash drive

Google Chrome USB flash driveLike lollipops or Popsicles, some of us like our software on a USB drive. So, looks like some German guy is offering a no-install, “lite” version of the Google CHROME BROWSER. Google on a stick if you will. On a USB flash drive. Carsten created a portable version of Google Chrome that has all the features of the main browser but requires no installation. Just unzip all the files and start using it. It will run directly from the USB stick on any Windows computer and all of your user settings like web history, cookies, etc. will also get saved to the same folder on the stick. The software is downloadable.
