We’ve covered many steampunk mods around these parts. Some are actually Steampunk while others are just a lot of brass attachments glued onto a gadget. Well this one is Steampunk alright. And these guns actually fire.

The blunderbuss shown above shoots not bullets, but rubber balls. That doesn’t mean it won’t hurt like a real bullet though. It shoots those rubber balls fast enough to actually penetrate cardboard from a distance. Ouch! And while we don’t want to be on the wrong end of this thing, we can’t help admiring the craftsmanship. This just may be the most awesome Gameboy mod ever. The steampunk Game Boy. The ultimate in Victorian handheld gaming. Sure it looks awesome, but the modder also added a pro sound mod which increases the the output and changed the red LED light for an orange one.

It took only a week to complete the project, even though it looks like it took much longer. Awesome job. It looks like it was dug up from an archeological site.

When the big name camera makers don’t offer any Steampunk cameras, what do you do? You build your own of course. That’s what this guy did. He built himself a homemade steampunk camera. And it’s more than just a digital camera with a brass case on it.

It’s completely homemade. Which is very impressive indeed. Aside from one obviously plastic piece. It must come in handy for snapping photos of all your handlebar-mustached relatives.

Sometimes Steampunk goes too far. Cakes, flash drives and clocks are all well and good but with the arrival of a Steampunk urinal, it seems like this genre has officially jumped the shark.

Technically it’s called the TeslaPunk Urinal. A hand-made solid oak tank with a battery powered flush pump, laser aiming assist, lights, antique gauges, flush capacitor, and cup holder. Yeah, what else can you say about this thing. I think it’s time that we changed the way we use the word Steampunk.

So you’ve met a nice gal who also likes to dress up in Victorian clothes and has a love of Steampunk gadgets. You want to take the plunge and get hitched. Maybe get married in a chapel that looks like a Jules Verne submarine. What do you do for the cake?

Make it brown and put gears on it, that’s what. Lots and lots of gears. Plus some doors, rivets and panels. Make the whole thing edible. Wedding complete.

Sometimes Steampunk falls flat if the details aren’t there. But this Nixie clock looks awesome. It’s the work of UK artist Kev Stenning.

It’s made from Pyrex glass, solid copper and brass machined parts and it features six IN-18 Nixie Tubes. It would look equally at home in this century or the last. The Steampunk Nixie Clock will be available in a limited run of just 10 clocks.

We love Steampunk around here. We’ve certainly featured our share of steampunk gadgets. And this USB drive is another pretty nice example of the art form, but it’s insanely priced at $3000. I would pay maybe $100 for this flash drive. Maybe $300 if I had some disposable money.

It has some great detail work and looks pretty awesome, so it’s a shame that it’s priced so high that no one will own it. Could be a typo, but somehow I doubt it. Now the Steampunk phone from Russia. That I could pay handsomely for.

We’ve seen our share of steampunk round these parts. I’m not sure if we’ve ever seen an actual steampunk phone though. Check this beauty out. If I didn’t know this was a phone, I might think it was some kind of miniature sub looking at it from the back.

It hails from Russia, and is loaded with all kinds of Steampunk goodness. Look at all of that detail in front. It’s as if Jules Verne took up Steve Jobs’ role a few centuries early. There isn’t much info on it, but the picture speaks loud and clear.

Usually I see a good steampunk designed gadget and I want it. On this one I think I’ll pass. But if you are a member of the Addams family or the Munsters, this may be your ideal point and click device. Even the mouse made from real mouse parts wasn’t this creepy.

This morbid monstrosity of a mouse was created by steampunk artist Ivan Mavrovic. On his site, he says, “”the sheep dyed naturall death”. Well that may be somewhat comforting for the sheep, I don’t want to push this one around all day. Makes me feel sheepish.

This Steampunk USB Flash Drive looks a little more authentic than some others. This one was created by a Russian modder, using some cogs, screws and a brass pipe.

You can easily picture this one attached to a victorian laptop, had they had such things. You can load your plans for all of your Steampunk creations on this drive and keep them safe in style. Normally, if you want to own a steampunk work of art like this, you have to make it yourself. It’s called the Telecalculograph Mk II and was created by artist Jake Hildebrandt using a cutting edge PC. What if I told you that this beauty could be yours?

Here’s a new and interesting way to geek up your home. Make it look just a little more steampunk with these Steampunk light switch plates. You might as well. They go with your bowler hat and handlebar mustache. We have just one request. Stop asking people to address you as Mr. Jules Verne. It’s kinda creepy.

Sadly you can’t buy these ready-made. But if you want them, there are instructions on how to create one of these for yourself. There are a variety of types you can create in various degrees of building difficulty. Hey why not?

I always wondered why more modders don’t go for the Art Deco look. I mean Steampunk is awesome when done right, but Art Deco is just as cool. It figures that it would be Datamancer who bridges the gap. They created this awesome Steampunk keyboard, and now are into art deco. It’s about time too.

The Steampunk Segway aka Legway, has some trouble making turns, according to the creator, but if you can’t afford a real Segway, this is a cheap DIY alternative. Of course you’ll have to provide all of the power yourself. At least that makes it eco-friendly.

If you want to try your hand at making one, head over to Instructables and make your own Legway. Then prepare to feel the burn. Before you know it, you’ll be saving up for the real deal. Because pedal power is for the birds.

This Russian antique brewery PC case mod is awesomely steampunk and completely over-the-top. It’s hard to find the words to describe such a beast. Apparently this thing can fill your mug with beer. Though we have no idea how it works.

Steampunk, beer, modding…What’s not to love? And it’s been outfitted with plenty of lights so the party never has to stop. This is the way to do a project. A mod just isn’t a mod unless the endgame is serving beer.
