This sexy Elecom stand designed by Nendo is pretty unusual and cool. It’s not very practical, but at least it looks stylish. It’s made from polycarbonate and ABS faucet parts and is designed to look like a faucet with water flowing out of it.

It will be available in clear, black, blue and white, but there is no word price or the availability. It is certainly unique.

Infinite Loop Tablet/Phone Stand mounts your tablet anywhere, on anything

Posted in Tablet PC by Reuben Drake on June 27th, 2011

The Infinite Loop Tablet/Phone Stand is an ergonomic, portable and generally useful stand for tablets and smartphones. That’s because it can be molded into any shape and if you need it for something else you can use the suction caps and adjustable side clips.

When you are done, the whole stand can be rolled up into a circle and put away. Tim Gushue needs just $27,500 to make it a reality. If you donate more than $19, you are in the pre-order pool automatically. Nice idea.

Posted in iPad accessories by Conner Flynn on March 16th, 2011

There are many cases for the iPad, but none can suspend them in mid-air over your crib bed. Well, some designers have come up with the Hanfree, a stand that will let you use your iPad even if your hands are full.

It keeps the iPad suspended in mid-air and allows you to use it for many different purposes. It isn’t just for reading or watching in bed, you can read instructions while cooking for instance. The Hanfree works with both the original iPad and the iPad 2. The creators are still looking for funds through Kickstarter. If you pre-order the stand you can get it for just $50, but when it goes on sale, the price will be $80.

ICONICSTAND iPhone Stand

Most iPhone stands are functional, but not very unique. This is one of the most unique designs we’ve seen yet. It was designed by Young-Gun Cho and the ICONICSTAND is constructed using sustainable practices.

This stand is cut from Birch and can even be personalized with the logo or icon of your choice from Twitter or Facebook. The stand lets you rotate your iPhone to view it in either portrait or landscape and the plywood feel of the stand is a very different experience compared to plastic or metal stands.

Bone Horn Stand iPhone Speaker

Posted in iPhone Accessories by Conner Flynn on October 21st, 2010

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. The Bone Horn Stand uses old technology to enhance modern technology. It’s an un-powered amplifier for the iPhone 4, that works exactly like those old style horn speakers on gramophones. The speaker fits over the end of the iPhone where the built in speakers are.

Then the sound is channeled through the horn, and it supposedly adds 12 decibels of sound pressure to your iPhone’s built in speakers. The device can also be used as a stand.

The edges of the iCarpus stand are coated in rubber for extra grip too so it won’t slip. It’s only $12. At that price what’s not to love?

iMac iPad Stand

Mac fans will want to get their hands on one of these stands for $50. What’s $50 after everything else you’ve spent on Apple gear? Besides, this solid aluminum and polycarbonate stand mimics the iMac.

It even has the hole for cords and supports both portrait and landscape configurations, along with three angles of tilt each. It looks solid, but I wonder if it actually is. It would need to weigh enough to really keep your iPad in place.

Plumbers who own an iPhone will want to take a look at this iPhone accessory. It looks like the plunger you use to clear your toilet. It works just like a plunger too, sticking to the back of your phone and making it appear as if a cartoon character has just drawn his bow and shot it at your phone.

You can stand it in portrait or landscape mode to watch video more comfortably. It will ship in August for $5.99. Hey, is this how Steve wants us to hold our iPhone 4?

AViiQ shows off one very portable laptop stand

Posted in Accessories,Notebooks by Shane McGlaun on May 26th, 2010

If I have to work from my laptop or my netbook for any length of time, I almost always take a laptop stand with me. I hate looking down at the screen; it gives me a headache after a while. The catch is that most notebook stands are so bulky you can’t fit them into a notebook bag.

AViiQ has announced a new notebook stand simply called the Portable Laptop Stand, and the name describes the stand well. The little stand is only a quarter of an inch thick when folded up.

This product’s website is not helpful at all. Good thing they have that image above, which shows you all you need to know about this device. It’s called the iAngle. Essentially it’s an earbud case and a mini iPhone stand in one.

It’s a pretty neat design even if it isn’t a world shattering gadget. It’s only $10 and probably works with other gadgets that are about the iPhone’s size.
