The problem with super thin HDTVs is that your bulky speakers tend to stand out like a sore thumb. Well, JVC has the cure with the above pair of 31mm thin speaker satellites. The SP-FT1 comes in black and the SP-FT2 in white with the AX-FT amplifier in the middle.

The amp delivers 80W of total output over 4 independent channels, and supports Dolby Digital, DTS and AAC formats. Expect to pay around ¥24,000 (or $267) for the amp and ¥20,000 (or $223) for the speakers when the black versions hit Japan later this month. The white ones will be available in November.

Good speaker systems are hard to find. Especially if you want a small form, with big sound. And bass is usually disappointing in these small systems. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed with speakers that don’t deliver. So I decided to give Logitech’s Z323 a try.

These speakers are acoustically engineered to project audio evenly in all directions, not just one. The idea is that you hear the full range of sound throughout a room. The idea behind this PLUG + PLAY wireless speaker system is that it would make all of your music available, regardless if it is stored on cell phones, PCs or MP3 players. That would be pretty damn convenient. The transparent speakers deliver high sound quality and also blend into most interiors at the same time. Audio files would be transmitted from a device and PLAY via the small PLUG elements. The plugs would be compatible with many different mp3 players, computers, cell phones and other devices. The end result is a system of speakers with a bluetooth receiver, and plugs as well as a bluetooth sender. Charging would be via the plug dock on the side of the speaker.

There is also a transparent LCD-display in the glass, that gives you the usual information about song title, equalizer, etc. This is a pretty fascinating concept, even though we won’t be seeing it anytime soon.
