SofaBox: Yes, sofa in a box
Judging by the images, I feel fairly confident that if I buy the SofaBox, good looking women will gladly carry it anywhere, then open it up and sit while I watch. Seems like a pretty strange life being a SofaBox owner. But I might just take the plunge. My $2700 isn’t doing much good in my pocket anyway.

Regular sofas are so stuck-up, just sitting there all smug and arrogant, with their backs always up like you are expected to sit in them at all times. Well, I ain’t having that. I’m gonna sit where I want and when I want. And I’m gonna put it away in a box when I’m done. I’ve done it their way long enough. Also, sofas don’t get dirty in a box, but these gals carrying it just might.

Eclosion pump up sofa concept

Eclosion pump up sofa concept
The Eclosion pump-up sofa is an interesting take on the futon/sofa-bed concept. Closed it looks like a yellow and black torpedo, opened up, it looks somewhat like a sofa. One side has a hidden air bladder that can be pumped up, which turns it from a small bed to a sofa that can hold a couple of people.

It was designed by Olivier Gregoire and yes it is basically just a fancy air filled futon, but I’m pretty sure that if it were available, the price would be un-futon like. Judging by looks alone, it seems like it would feel pretty weird just like a futon as well.
