Copia Tablet is just $99

Posted in Tablet PC by Conner Flynn on August 1st, 2010

If you have been wanting to check out the tablet market, but find things a tad expensive, here’s a less expensive option. The Copia Tablet is obviously not the sexiest tablet around, but it won’t take up much room in your bag at just 5 inches in size.

It’s called the Ocean Reader. We aren’t sure who will want one even at that price though when you have your choice of big name tablets. Still, it might be worth a try if you want to take a chance.

SanDisk ships its smallest USB thumb drive, the Cruzer Blade

Posted in SanDisk by Conner Flynn on July 27th, 2010

SanDisk claims that its Cruzer Blade is the world’s smallest USB flash drive. We believe it. The drive is “about the size of a standard size paper clip and weighing approximately the same as a penny.”

It’s perfect for hanging from your keyring, when not getting lost in the folds of your couch and such. It’s available in capacities from 2GB to 16GB, with prices from $14.99 to $77.99. When they say small they mean small, just not in price.

Posted in Mobile Phones by Conner Flynn on April 8th, 2010

Most of us just want the latest and most sophisticated phone available, but maybe some people are looking for an extremely tiny phone for extremely small talk. This SWAP Nova Keychain Phone is a 2G (GSM/GPRS) handset smaller than a box of matches. It’s made by the same people who do the watch phones.

It comes with a stylus, microSD slot and a recessed direct connect USB plug. You can hang it around your neck or on the key fob, and hold it to your ear to talk. It should arrive later this year for about £199.00.

Tiniest 1080p PC is silent, enjoys Doublemint gum

Yes HTPCs are getting smaller and smaller. One day soon they will be the size of a flash drive, with flash drives being the size of a pebble. This crazy small PC has a Via EPIA-P820 Pico-ITX motherboard inside, and Via’s AMOS-3001 is the first PC to use it. It has COM ports and two USB ports on the front, and Ethernet, USB, and HDMI ports in back. It measures just 6 inches wide.

The 1.2GHz all-in-one VIA VX855 Media System Processor plays 1080p video as well. And yes the design is fanless, which keeps things silent. No pricing info just yet, but we should know more soon.

Thanko Microsports MP3 player

Thanko Microsports MP3 playerThanko is well known for it’s crap gadgets, but every now and then they surprise us with something a bit more original and different. Thanko has now shrunk the MP3 player into a form as small as 16mm x 25mm x 22mm, weighing just 8 grams.

And you wear it in your ear adding some extra douche to your personality. A very thin cable will allow you to enjoy your tunes. The 2GB and 4GB models will cost you about $55 and $76, respectively. It could sport better looks, but some users are bound to appreciate it’s tiny size.

Slim PS3 spotted?

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on May 14th, 2009

Slim PS3 spotted?Check out this grainy shot of a PS3 “slim,”. If this turns out to be the real deal, it has a wild redesign and would be one of the smallest Blu-ray devices out there. This is similar to the Slimline PS2, with the familiar curve of the PS3, and even a slot-loading disc drive and 120GB hard drive.

Sony has officially denied its existence saying “We currently don’t have any plans for a redesigned PS3 at this time,” but what else would they say? We’ll probably learn the truth at E3, but at least we have some pics to back it up.

TEC’s Lingo mouse, another “world’s smallest”

Posted in Mouse by Conner Flynn on May 6th, 2009

TEC's Lingo mouse, another "world's smallest"TEC’s Lingo mouse might be a perfect little mouse for those small of finger and desktop space. It bills itself as the “smallest mouse”, at 27.5 x 60 x 19 mm and 0.8 ounces. The Z-Nano is actually smaller, but hey guys, size doesn’t matter that much does it?

This tiny pointer features 800 dpi, 2.4GHz with a range of up to 32.8 feet, and about 15 hours battery life with automatic shutoff if left alone for five minutes. We have no idea if it will make it to the states.

Mag-Lite Flashlight could end up in your kids nose

Posted in Flashlights by Conner Flynn on March 8th, 2009

Mag-Lite Flashlight could end up in kids noseKids love to stick stuff in their noses. (They also like to dig deep and pick stuff out, but that’s another story.) The little tykes will stick toys up their nostrils, candy, their finger, you name it. In fact, if there’s nothing nearby to actually stick up their nose, they often go into withdrawal, constantly sniffing and touching their nose while snorting, like a junkie checking themselves for powder on the outside.

Well, Mag-Lite is exploiting the phenomena in their latest ad campaign. Making “light” of it even. Maglite is launching their smallest flashlight yet named Solitaire, with these images of kids who breath light out of their nostrils.

Solar-powered credit card calculatorNumbers are an enemy to all. They force us to do endless calculations throughout our daily lives, and miscalculations. Numbers are everywhere. You can’t avoid them. By the time you have begun counting, they have already won. Because there will always a higher number then you can count.

Calculators are our only hope of staying sane as we constantly wage war with math. This one is slim yet stylish and solar-powered. And Credit Card sized. Having one the size and shape of a standard credit card will go a long way in helping you sort out this mathematical universe. No more miscalculating! Only $6.

Revolver Ring is a seriously small gun

Revolver Ring is a seriously small gunThese miniature gun rings won’t kill, but they may make your wedding vows a little more serious. Because when you and your spouse each have one of these, arguments end very quickly. While they would make interesting conversation pieces, I wouldn’t wear one to the airport. These rings come with tiny bullets that you can put in the chamber, which we hope is non-functional.

The gun is modeled after antique wild west revolvers and presumably would have been great for women on the frontier to protect themselves, as well as Mini-me. It’s a nicely crafted and tiny weapon.

Guitar Hero gets portable & silly

Guitar Hero gets portable
I guess if you want Guitar Hero on the go or if you are a Leprechaun wanting to play the game in your size, you are in luck my friends. This miniature version was created by Basic Fun, and it looks like they got Activision’s approval. It’s called the “Guitar Hero Carabiner,” and it will make it’s debut next week at the International Toy Fair in New York.

It measures in at only 7.75 long and 3 inches wide, though the neck can fold down to cut its length in half. The carabiner also has the ability to dangle from your bag or backpack, in case your pocket real estate is already full with a DS and the like.
