This Star Trek Salt and Pepper Shaker Set will make any meal a little extra geeky. They are ceramic versions of the U.S.S. Enterprise and the Shuttle. Now all we need is squeezable dispensers shaped like Khan. You know, for Khan-diments.

These will cost you just $14.99 at the Star Trek Store. The Shuttle and the Enterprise stick together thanks to magnets and separate easily when you need to use them. These are the voyages of the salt ship Enterprise..

Super Mario chess set

Posted in Games by Conner Flynn on August 9th, 2009

Super Mario chess setThis Super Mario chess set is a little strange. The first thing I noticed was King Bowser and his Queen Koopa. Really? Queen Koopa? I thought he was a guy. What the hell is going on with those two? Maybe I missed something, or else I was busy playing games where people die horribly with gunfire. Wait, they have Luigi as Mario’s queen too…

Anyhow, you can’t call yourself a Super Mario fan unless you are playing chess with this collector’s edition chess set from USAopoly. You just might need some therapy after. The chess set includes 32 hand-painted figures from the game series including Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Toad, 1-up mushroom, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Birdo, Goomba, Hammer Bros., and Magikoopa.

Vacuum tube chess set

Vacuum tube chess setThis just may be the most awesome and nerdiest chess set ever. You’re looking at Paul Fryer’s Vacuum Tube Chess set. It’s one of only seven made. The pieces actually light up when they’re plugged in to the board.

How cool is that? The only thing that sucks is that you would need to replace blown tubes from time to time, but we don’t care. We just wanna play chess with Vacuum tubes that really light up.

Mario Kart R/C racing set

Mario Kart R/C racing setThe Mario Kart Pullback toys were cool, so was the giant r/c Mario Kart racer, but this set of Mini Mario Kart rc cars from Brando gets it right. Each car is rechargeable and about the size of the iPod shuffle. Each comes with a 6-direction IR controller and shell and banana accessories. That’s what I’m talking about. You need accessories to really play Mario Kart outside of the Wii. They are available in Mario, Luigi, Koopa and Yoshi. Available for $24 each. Finally you can have real life Mario races.

Limited Edition Beatles iPodIt’s been a long wait. A long and winding road if you will. At last, the Beatles iPod is out, with only 2,500 units available. You know you want it. And in these tough economic times, Paul, Ringo, and Yoko need your help. So why not fork out $795. The Limited Edition Ultimate Collector’s Beatles iPod Set comes complete with a wooden box designed by Psycho Bunny, where you can store your 120GB Beatles iPod, 13 original Beatles albums on CD, two masters, the Love CD, and an engraved guitar pick that is surely the pick of destiny.

Uh, hang on a minute here. Anyone wanting a Beatles iPod surely owns all of these CDs anyway, so what gives? I don’t need all of that extra junk for 800 clams. Just give me a decent Beatles iPod. Preferably something with a classic album cover on it.

Batman:The Dark Knight Joker Poker Set
Ever since the movie opened on Friday it’s been Dark Knight mania. As we all know, the Joker is the real star of the movie. That’s probably why he has his own Poker set now. No doubt inspired by his real Poker set, which he uses every Friday night when it’s Poker night in Gotham for he and his cohorts.

You get 54 prop replica Joker cards, a second 54 card deck defaced by the Joker, Joker-themed 100 piece chip set and black aluminum carrying case. Just don’t go so far as to paint your face like the Joker or they may haul you off to Arkham Asylum. It will cost you $84 and is available for pre-order.

It shows off 14 classic scenes from the Death Star from the original trilogy. Comes with 25 mini-figs and droids that seem more awesome then usual. You know what you must do geeks. Go without a few comics, pull an extra shift, see if mom will let you slide on this month’s basement rent.

Japan gets Batman bust with Blu-Ray set
For those of you who like Super hero statues sawed off at the waist or higher, this deal in Japan may be for you. If you’re in Japan. And a geek. On July 23, Japanese folks will get their chance to own Batman Begins on Blu-ray.

That’s about two weeks after release in the U.S. Our gift set edition comes with story boards, script pages and a $7.50 movie credit towards Dark Knight, but in Japan they will get a 25 cm tall bust. Which begs the question, why are we always getting left out on all the cool stuff? What’s the deal with that? The standard Blu-Ray will be around $47, the gift set edition is about $180.

Create your own lightsaber like a real Jedi

Create your own lightsaber like a real Jedi
You can buy any number of lightsabers. Whether in lamp form, Wii attachment, or even a lightsaber training game. But this Master Replicas Force FX Lightsaber Construction Set allows you to mix and match pieces, creating your own custom weapon.

The kit includes 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 center bands, 3 front bodies, 3 emitters and a tri-color blade that can switch between red, green and blue. That gives you over 1000 possible combinations. One downside to this cool toy is that the blade is only illuminated by a single LED, which means you won’t get the “rising out of the hilt” effect when you turn it on. But it does have all the motion activated sound effects. All the pieces are metal, so your lightsaber will look very cool and authentic.
