The PXP-900 looks familiar

pxp-900_1-480x389We’ve seen our share of gaming and gadget rip-offs, but this is one of the most blatant knockoffs we’ve seen in a while. Look familiar? Why it looks exactly like a Sony PSP. And while the PXP-900 clones the style, it doesn’t bother with the titles, instead, sticking to retro gaming ROMs.

The PXP-900 can handle classic titles from the NES, Famicom, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Super Famicom and SEGA MegaDrive. Onboard storage is 2GB, and it functions as a PMP too, playing up to 25fps 320 x 240 video in a bunch of formats on a 4.3-inch display.

Health Control Game Timer helps you control your DS addiction

Posted in Nintendo DS by Conner Flynn on April 2nd, 2009

Health Control Game TimerHaving trouble controlling yourself when it comes to playing your DS? Do you get the shakes when that bad boy is closed? You probably pet your real life kitten as if you’re using a stylus. The Health Control Game Timer should help you out, you weak willed Mario Kart addicted sack of sadness. It will take control and lay the smack down hard.

The device shuts down your Nintendo DS if you’ve been playing for too long. How long is too long? Either 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes. It depends how bad you need help. The problem is if you are truly addicted, you just won’t buy one. Or if you do, you could always just turn the system back on and keep playing for another 2 hours. So, if you buy this, consider yourself scammed and not bright enough to join the human race outside of your DS screen. We don’t want ya, so just keep right on playing.

BlueBerry clone surfaces

BlueBerry clone surfacesThey say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The Blackberry must be feeling very flattered right now. After all, BlackBerries are everywhere, and even President Elect Obama is addicted to using it.

Meet the latest and I believe first BlackBerry clone, so creatively named the BlueBerry L900i. This quadband GSM handset looks just like a BlackBerry from a distance, featuring a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity, a digital camera and leather backing. It’s only $164.99 so don’t expect it to function like the real thing.

Latest Wii knockoff sports 16-bit graphics

Latest Wii knockoff sports 16-bit graphics
All had been quiet on the Chinese front, so I knew we were about due for another Wii knockoff. I guess the Vii and the Vii2 weren’t cutting it for cheapasses who want to play games, so they upped the ante.

China Shenzhen Firstsing Company Limited, a company who brought us an unnecessary cooling fan for the Wii(And probably some other wacky stuff), now gives us a 7-in-1 gaming console. It looks alot like the Wii. You’ll get amazing 16-bit graphics technology, as well as sports games that are “similar to those on the Wii, but more cheaper,”. They even threw in a wireless gamepad, and 2 remote controls that look oddly familiar. Looks like they’ve also done away with the old fashioned CD and replaced it with a small but long cutting edge cartridge. You’ll also get the shown attachments, so you can spank yourself after buying it. Better yet, have someone else do it while you say “Thank you sir. May I have another.”

“Sport” Vii 2 Wii rip-off video review

“Sport” Vii 2
The cheap knock-off game console market seems to be high gear lately, what with the Polystation 3 and px-3600 console. We first told you about the Vii back in October. Well, it looks like our british friend who reviewed the Polystation, just got himself a KenSingTon Sport Vii 2.

You can watch his video review after the jump and explore the strange bizzarro world of crap knock-offs. Among the games on the GBA type cartridge, are a few that involve some sort of mutated rabbits. And as bad as these rip-offs are, you have to admit that they at least provided some color on the Vii-mote unlike Nintendo’s white. Though it does resemble some sort of weird long squid.
