Red Xbox 360 Elite on the way

Red Xbox 360 Elite on the wayWell, this makes it almost official. A new red Xbox 360 Elite is coming. This news came via the usual route. Sort of: First it began as a rumor, then a retailer inventory listing and then an innocent mention in a New Zealand press release.

An MS New Zealand promotion for the upcoming release of Halo Wars, buy a 360, get a free copy of the game, explicitly excluded “the Red Xbox 360 Elite console which is exclusive to EB games.” Yeah, the one that hasn’t been officially announced. Like my other question of the evening concerning color, I ask again: Would you get a new red Xbox 360? Or no?

Windows Vista (RED)Windows Vista and its many flavors are looked on with disdain by many and pointed to as one of the reasons Apple is posting record growth despite the poor economy. Despite that, many people still use Vista and may be looking to upgrade from Windows XP to Vista.

For those looking to upgrade Microsoft has announced that it is now offering Windows Vista Ultimate in a (RED) version that includes some exclusive additions. The downside is that the new exclusive content doesn’t make Vista any more useful or stable.

Audi Travolution lets you know when that light will change

Posted in Automotive by Conner Flynn on September 22nd, 2008

Audi Travolution lets you know when that light will changeYou have to develop a rhythm regarding stop lights. You don’t want to completely stop just as the light turns green. Fortunately for those with a bad sense of timing, Audi’s Travolution takes it upon itself to keep track of when the light changes. Audi is currently testing the system.

It works because “Travolution” networks cars with traffic signals wirelessly. This way you will always know exactly when the upcoming light is going to change, which tells you how fast you should be going. It’s a great way to save fuel, and might even help traffic to move more efficiently. One day it may even come standard in all cars. Next the car will be stopping for you whether you like it or not.

Red & green limited edition Xbox 360 controllers

Red & green limited edition Xbox 360 controllers
Microsoft is dropping some limited edition green and red Xbox 360 controllers at the end of September, priced at $64 each. The red one comes with black accents and even comes with a bundled Play & Charge with red battery pack.

If red and green seem like odd color choices, I agree. Red and green says Christmas to me. I guess they would be an ideal pair for playing a Christmas Eve game of Halo with some holly adorning your controllers and a bunch of new games under the tree.

Japan gets red Playstation 2 console
Once again Japan gets all the cool things. Like this latest, the Cinnabar Red PlayStation 2. It should be available on July 3rd, for the equivalent of $155 US. Perfect if you love rocking red, or if you have some sort of Hell theme happening. In fact, it would probably be at home in Hellboy’s house. Hell. Damnation. The damned. Red is the color of anger you know. I think it’s affecting me in a strange way.

New red PSP bundled with God of War
Take it easy PSP fans, we don’t have a release date just yet, but according to Kotaku, a red PSP will be hitting store shelves this summer bundled with God of War: Chains of Olympus. You also get Superbad and a gift certificate for a downloadable PlayStation Store game.

It’s a branded PSP similar to the Star Wars PSP from awhile back. Sure to be awesome news for those of you into God of War and the color red. Personally, I’m not much for this red version. If it were perhaps a bit pinker, I would dub it the Pepto PSP.
