New Lexmark printers go wireless

Lexmark Z2420Lexmark yesterday unveiled several new printers and all-in-one devices which are geared towards home use. Major highlights of these new printers include two wireless models and also an all-in-one with a front laptop port.

Five new models in all were debuted, including the Z2420 ($80), X3650 ($80) and X4650 ($130). Specific features and availability are noted after the jump.

Canon PIXMA MX7600 shoots for high end printing on cheap paper

Canon PIXMA MX7600 Office AIO PrinterCanon brought to market today a new all-in-one printer it says “has the ability to produce crisp graphics and text on plain paper with the incorporation of the new Pigment Reaction (PgR) technology.” The printer is the Canon PIXMA MX7600 Office AIO and pricing is set at around $400.

The Canon PIXMA MX7600 Office AIO Printer is designed in essence to bring high quality printing jobs to regular paper, thus bringing savings to individuals and business which might otherwise have to fork out more money for better quality paper. Canon says its new printing technology means “curling, ink bleeding and printing through the paper sometimes associated with color inkjet printing on plain paper is dramatically reduced so that end-results are sharp, professional, business documents.”

Epson offers up networked all-in-one printer

Epson Stylus CX9475FaxEpson is set to offer a new all-in-one printer with wired and wireless network connectivity which will reportedly offer an ability to make it easier to install on a network. The Epson Stylus CX9475Fax will price at around $180.

The Epson Stylus CX9475Fax lets Windows users “connect to a wireless network through a streamlined, automated configuration” by integrating the printer and printer server installation applications. Once up on a network it offers up printing, copying, scanning, and black-and-white or color faxing, as well as the ability to print photos with or without a computer, using the 2.5-inch tilt LCD.

Xerox offering low(er) cost color laser printer

Xerox Phaser 6125Xerox said today it is bringing to market its lowest price color laser printer to date. It is called the Xerox Phaser 6125 and pricing is set at around $350.

The Xerox Phaser 6125 is designed to print up to 12 color pages or 16 black and white pages per minute. It comes with pre-installed toner cartridges and makes available to the end user features like networking and upwards of 1GB of memory installed.

Samsung pops out new monochrome laser printer

Samsung ML-2851NDSamsung recently unveiled a new monochrome laser printer for the SOHO market. The new Samsung ML-2851ND is priced at around $330.

The Samsung ML-2851ND has the ability to print 30 monochrome pages per minute. Estimated first page out speed, according to Samsung, is 8.5 seconds. Memory on this printer can be expanded to 160MB for larger printing jobs. DPI output is noted to be 1200 x 1200.

Kodak All-In-One Inkjet Printers

Kodak All-In-One Inkjet PrintersEastman Kodak has entered the inkjet market with a new line of All-in-One (AiO) printers for the home.

The new Kodak Easyshare All-in-One Printers will focus on reducing the cost of printing and save consumers up to 50 percent on printing costs according to a Kodak press release. The AiO printers will use Kodak’s premium, pigment-based ink, priced at $9.99 for a cartridge of black ink and $14.99 for a five-ink color cartridge.

“For far too long, people have felt restrained from printing due to the high cost of ink,” said Antonio M. Perez, chairman and chief executive officer, Eastman Kodak Company. “Our new system gives consumers the freedom to print documents and photos frequently, easily and affordably with exceptional quality that lasts a lifetime under typical home display conditions.”
