Posted in Nokia by Conner Flynn on June 20th, 2011

Some leaked press shots of the N9, due to be announced tomorrow at CommunicAsia 2011 in Singapore, have surfaced and it turns out that it is a slim MeeGo-powered candybar. The device will ship in pink, blue, and black.

Specs remain a mystery though. At least we have some images. It looks rather pretty and shows off bicycles very well. That much we can see in the image above. More when we have it.

Droid X2 press shots

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on April 24th, 2011

The Motorola Droid X successor, known until now as the Droid X2 or Droid X 2 has been spotted several times in the wild and it looks very similar it’s predecessors. So appearance is no surprise, however these press shots tells us one important thing: the name of the phone. The branding has now been shown as Droid X^2. X Squared, not X-two. That’s new.

The expected specs include a 1.2GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 4.3-inch screen with qHD, 768MB ram. The rest of the specs will likely remain the same, but will it come preloaded with Froyo or the newer Gingerbread build of Android? We will see.

HTC Droid Incredible 2 leaked press shots

What’s this? If our eyes don’t deceive us this is the HTC Droid Incredible 2. These images come from PocketNow without even a named or anonymous source. We don’t care, we just enjoy spying new gear.

To refresh your memory, the Incredible 2 is little more than a rebranded Incredible S. According to a purported leaked roadmap from last month, the best guess we have for a launch date is April 28th. We will let you know more when we know.

HTC Merge official press shots

Posted in HTC by Conner Flynn on April 7th, 2011

By now we’ve all seen the HTC Merge, so these press shots don’t show us anything we don’t already know, it just confirms that this Android-powered QWERTY slider is bound for Verizon any time now. And that is welcome news.

In fact, the CDMA Desire Z will likely hit shelves before the end of the week, because regional carrier Alltel has already begun taking pre-orders on its own version of this 800MHz, 3.8-inch handset. We know you’ve been waiting for this one.

HTC Mondrian shows up in press shots

Posted in HTC by Conner Flynn on September 30th, 2010

Looks like we now have the first clear press shots of the HTC Mondrian smartphone, thanks to German site BestBoyz. The Windows Phone 7-powered device had previously only been seen in a Microsoft TV ad before now. The source of the images claims that the Mondrian will be available at a major German provider. Who knows which one.

Some early specs of the Mondrian, which also went by some other alias’ like Schubert and possibly HD7, include a 4.3-inch, 800×480 touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a five-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capability and 8GB of built-in storage.

New Zune HD press shots

New Zune HD press shotsWe’ve seen plenty of Microsoft’s Zune HD, but the company just shared some awesome images of the new PMP, which show off black and silver versions of the device, both of which are things of beauty.

Just pictures. Nothing too spectacular, but they give you a good idea of the design and what the UI looks like. If nothing else, they will let you drool and anticipate the device even more than you thought possible.
