Philips GoGear Muse 3 portable media player

Philips has announced the GoGear Muse 3 PMP with a SoundSafe feature that will alert the user if the current volume levels will have an impact on their long-term hearing. It can also regulate the volume to make sure that it stays at a safe level.

Other features include an alternative to the graphic equalizer called SoundPersonalisation where you can adjust the sound just by running your fingers around the screen between the four corners, choosing from powerful, warm, sparkling and vocal. It ships with noise isolation in-ear earphones and comes in 8GB or 16GB capacities for $176 and $224.

Creative unveils ZEN M300 portable media player

It’s been a while since Creative unveiled a new PMP. And now Creative has announced the new ZEN M300 portable music player. The device features a micro-SD slot and FM radio with Bluetooth support.

The M300 looks pretty stylish and is available in red, black, yellow and white. It comes in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities, with a 1.45″ screen and it measures 55 x 44 x 12 mm with feather touch buttons. Looks like a great way to carry your music with you.

Cowon V5S portable media player arrives in South Korea

Cowon has introduced their V5S portable media player in South Korea. This PMP is capable of handling full HD video playback on it’s large 4.8” (800×480) screen, and will also sport dictionaries in English, Korean and Chinese languages.

Other features include e-book support to help Korean students keep up with their education or just read the latest hot novel. No word on pricing just yet however, but hopefully we will learn more soon.

Cowon 3D Plenue portable media player

The Cowon 3D Plenue will run on the Android 2.1 operating system, with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, USB support, and a T-DMB TV tuner. It will also deliver full HD video content. It comes in three different capacities of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB.

Despite the name, it won’t display stereoscopic 3D images or video, but it will handle most of the popular audio and video formats. Hopefully we will see it arrive Stateside sometime soon.

ICOO M100HDC portable media player

There certainly are a ton of options when it comes to PMP players today. Barely a day goes by when we don’t see a new one. Icoo’s latest portable media player is the M100HDC.

Don’t let the small 4.8″ display fool you, this is a capable device. It offers support for MKV, MOV, RMVB, RM, AVI(DivX/XviD/H.264), PMP, DAT, FLV, VOB, MP4, MPG and 3GP video formats. And if you want to watch your movies on your big screen TV, the M100HDC can easily be plugged into your computer using it’s handy dandy TV Out port.

RAmos T11 RK portable media player

RAmos T11 RK portable media playerRAmos has introduced its latest portable media player, the T11 RK. It’s similar to its predecessor design-wise, but inside you’ll find different specs. This PMP features some impressive interface and touch controls and is powered by the Rockchip RK2806 chipset.

Some other features are a 5″ touchscreen display with 800 x 480 resolution, 8GB of internal memory, 720p TV out, built-in FM radio and support for a whole range of video and audio formats. The RAmos T11 RK portable media player will run you about $102.

Samsung YP-R1 Portable Media Player

Samsung YP-R1 Portable Media PlayerSamsung’s YP-R1 is a smallish and good looking portable media player that will hit South Korea next month. Sadly, we don’t have a price on the device yet. We do have some specs though.

The YP-R1 will have a 2.7″ QVGA touchscreen display with haptic feedback, DNSe 3.0, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, dictionary, a voice recorder, TV-out, an integrated FM radio and recording capability. Battery life will give you 25 hours of audio playback, and 5 hours for video.
