iRiver P35 official for this FallInterestingly, a P35 teaser has shown up on iRiver’s website. Until now many were thinking that because the player had an integrated digital TV tuner that is not supported by any U.S broadcaster, that the device would not make it to US shores.

But as we pointed out months ago, there are several versions of the P35. There’s one with digital TV, there’s a WIFI version and a “basic” version with no WIFI. We’re looking forward to learning more about this one. Color us interested.

HifiMAN HM-801 PMPThe HifiMAN HM-801 portable media player (PMP) is a different kind of PMP. It combines a Burr-Brown PCM1704 DAC and a OPA627 op-amp in a single modular unit that lets you use your own amplifier if you want. Supposedly sound quality isn’t compromised as it features full support for FLAC and lossless WMA.

Keep in mind that it lacks video support, media-related features and internal storage all together, so make sure you have a ton of SDHC memory cards if you want to use the retro-ly named HifiMAN HM-801.

Cube H100HD PMP with 1080i video OutOh boy, another portable media player from the land of China. But this one is a tad different. It’s the Cube H100HD, not to be confused with the cube B52HD. The “HD” isn’t a total scam since it does support High Definition output, but not surprisingly it can’t handle full HD.

The Cube H100HD sports a 5″ WVGA display, support for all the popular audio and video formats and 720p and 1080i video via the out port. They threw in an e-book reader just in case you are mildly literate too. Oh and an integrated FM radio.

We don’t know much, but the name is a dead giveaway that the display will be “HD”. Can we expect it to have 1280×720? Or are they just using it as a fancy marketing word?
