Revolver Camera shoots a bullet, takes a picture

Posted in Weapons by Conner Flynn on May 19th, 2011

Photographers who also like to shoot guns will love this weapon. This weapon fires bullets and takes pictures at the same time. It was apparently used in 1938 in New York. The gun is a Colt 38 and it had a tiny camera attached to it that was controlled by the trigger.

We don’t have much more information than that, but it’s impressive. One thing is for sure, you don’t want to be in these pictures. Good thing nobody else got their hands on it. I can easily imagine some whack job firing away at people and posting the pics online. Yeah, this is not a good combination here.

New images of Motorola’s Droid 3 surface

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on March 16th, 2011

Feast your eyes on the Droid 3. Motorola’s latest Droid handset. More images of the device have shown up and they are showing off a QWERTY keyboard that looks similar to the previous one it’s replacing except for one thing, a 5-row design.

There also appear to be half-height keys for the number row. 5-row keyboards are awesome and people love them, so it is already looking like a winner. We hope to learn more very soon.

Is this the new Verizon iPhone 4?

Posted in iPhone by Conner Flynn on October 12th, 2010

Gizmodo received the image above from a source who claims that it is the iPhone 4 for Verizon. Whether it is real or not, it looks damn good.

There have been credible reports of Apple engineering being aware of back glass problems that make the iPhone 4 design too fragile. So an aluminum back makes a lot of sense. There’s just no way to know if it is real or not just yet.

Sony’s Google TV controller shows up

Posted in Google by Conner Flynn on October 5th, 2010

Sony’s Google TV controller has been leaked ahead of schedule, showing up on an episode of NBC Nightline. The controller looks like it combines a full QWERTY keyboard with two directional pads, your usual volume/channel controls for the TV, and a variety of playback buttons. The large layout leaves room for extra button rows with numbers and shortcuts for other functions. It looks pretty good.

Google TV-enabled devices are scheduled to arrive on the market next week. Sony will introduce its Bravia GT1 TV, while Logitech is readying its Revue set-top box. We aren’t sure if Sony will introduce the controller alongside the TV or not.

First BlackBerry Storm 3 picture leaked?

Posted in BlackBerry by Conner Flynn on September 20th, 2010

No one is safe from leaks. The latest leak is regarding RIM’s BlackBerry Storm 3. This isn’t 100% confirmation that this is the new Storm, but it’s what we have and it’s close enough.

There are no other full touchscreen BlackBerrys in production right now, so unless RIM has managed to keep something secret (Yeah sure) the phone above should be the Storm 3. In any case, it’s an interesting looking BlackBerry and it has our attention.

Glo digital picture Bible

Posted in Digital Photo Frames by Conner Flynn on January 10th, 2010

Glo is not your typical print bible. It’s a digital version of the bible with high-definition imagery of biblical sights. For instance, a virtual representation of Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulcher shows panoramic photos of the inside down to the frescos in detail.

You won’t have to search through endless pages of scripture, since Glo is organized both by order of the big book or by geography through a topographical map. You can view overhead similar to Live Earth and zero in on biblical locations to see the HD video and documentaries, with 360 degree photo representations, and photos of works of art.

Samsung Propel Pro caught on camera

Posted in Samsung by Conner Flynn on January 29th, 2009

Samsung Propel ProIn a world filled with tech spies, you’re gonna get the occasional obligatory spy shot. This is the latest. Apparently, this is the Samsung Propel Pro and it arrives with some pro-level features. Stuff like Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, an optical joystick, 3G, and presumably a camera.

That’s about all we know at the moment, but we hear that the QWERTY keyboard is decent. Nothing on a release date or pricing. Looks pretty decent.
