Unofficial Adidas phoneLooking for a phone that matches your fancy Adidas shoes? Well, you can get this one, but despite it’s looks, it isn’t an official handset from the sportswear giant. Sure it has the Adidas logo on the front of this clamshell, but that’s really all we know about it.

You can probably expect the usual specifications of such clones, like dual SIM and a digital camera as well as a complete lack of quality at a high price. We will probably see a Nike version very soon.

Sony Ericsson intros Elm Candybar PhoneEnvironmentalists will like this one. The Sony Ericsson Elm is a candybar phone, and the latest addition to Sony Ericsson’s GreenHeart line, which is all about helping the company reduce its CO2 emissions by 20 percent by the year 2015.

So how do they plan to do that? Well, the phone is made from recycled plastic, uses a low-power charger and comes with minimal packaging. We don’t have any info on price yet, but the Elm will be available in the first quarter of 2010.

Google Nexus One makes an appearanceWell, now we know that the Google Nexus One exists. Perhaps there really is a Santa Claus as well. This higher resolution picture is supposedly the Nexus One and is the talk of the internets.

Physically thisthe same as the HTC Passion, without the HTC logo on top. We hear ya, you can’t wait to give this Google Phone a try. We agree. They had us when they tweeted “Google Phone = iPhone + a little extra screen and a scroll wheel. Great touch screen, and Android.”

Nokia Unik concept phone changes texture to fit your moodNokia’s latest concept phone kicks things up a notch. The Nokia Unik was designed by French designer Clement Logereau and consists of 152 small tiles that allow the handset to transform itself. Well, you will have to transform it by adding new squares that are different in material and color.

The squares can be added after you purchase them from Nokia stores. Once they have your money, they come in metal, transparent and rubber. Yeah, it’s easy to see that this one will forever remain just a concept.

Some other features include WQVGA resolution, TouchWiz UI, handwriting input, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, Bluetooth, TV-out, DivX, integrated FM radio, GPS navigation, 300MB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot.

Melty Chocolate Phone not from LGIf you like your phones looking all chocolaty and sweet, you might want to check out these melty chocolate phones from Japanese designer Q-Pot. Not to be confused with LG’s Chocolate phones. Teaming up with Sharp, Q-Pot offers two tasty colors, uh flavors. Melty Bitter and Melty Strawberry.

Both feature a 3D chocolate case, chocolate themed menus and wallpapers, and chocolate type packaging. Some other features include an 8MP camera that says “give me a sweet smile”, a 3 inch screen, and a Japanese system TV tuner.

The BeoCom 2 is crafted from a single piece of aluminum. Don’t be surprised if the person on the other end asks you to get closer and actually talk into it.

Motorola Crush touchscreen phone announcedThe evidence continues to mount that Motorola is getting their act together. Here comes the Crush. The Crush is an EV-DO Rev.0 device that features a 2.8” touchscreen (240 x 400 pixels), a 2 megapixel camera, virtual on-screen QWERTY keypad, Stereo Bluetooth and a 3.5mm handsfree port.

Looks like the controls are located at the top of the screen which is a bit weird, but the Crush also incorporates a few other functions like a Tap to silence feature, a pedometer, microSD card support for up to 16 Gigs of additional memory and a 950 mAh battery. Motorola claims 4.5 hours of talk time.

Samsung unveils Galaxy Spica i5700A sibling to the Galaxy, the i5700 has been rumored for a while. Now it has been made official by Samsung and dubbed the Galaxy Spica. Samsung’s latest Android-powered handset is just 13.2mm thick and features a 3.5mm jack, an 800MHz core, and built-in DivX support.

According to Samsung, it’s already out in Europe and will be coming to the Middle East and Asia shortly.

Willcom Hybrid W-Zero phoneWillcom has a new Hybrid W-Zero handset dubbed model number WS027SH. This model features PHS and W-CDMA (3.5G) connectivity and is compatible with HSUPA 7.2Mbps. It’s powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.

Some features include a 3.5″ VGA resolution touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS navigation support and a 5-megapixel camera. It also uses the “x-Crawl” GUI, allowing you to use the jog dial to scroll with the cursor sideways.

Apple is tops in mobile phone profits

iphone3g-sbThe mobile phone industry is hurting except for the high-end smartphone and feature phone segments. These more expensive devices are selling and smartphones are actually growing in popularity. The latest numbers for the mobile phone market are in and Apple is tops when it comes to profits.

According to Strategy Analytics Apple has posted $1.6 billion in operating profits for Q3 2009. The second place manufacturer is Nokia with $1.1 billion in operating profits. The impressive part here is that Apple is doing this with one or two models while Nokia has a full line of devices.

Softbank unveils new Hello Kitty phoneAnother day another Hello Kitty phone. This one is all lit up like the Kitty went to Vegas and had a good old time. Probably counted some cards, drank too much, got into a knife fight, had a three way with some dancers and narrowly escaped a mob hit.

The 942H KT is pretty much an average flip phone, but when opened the pink highlights and Hello Kitty logo show up. Some other features include: 1-Seg television viewing, 3D gaming, GPS, electronic wallet features, and 3G. Nothing on pricing, but when the kitty shows up, girls empty their wallets.

T-Mobile offers up Nokia 3711 budget phoneT-Mobile has your back in this economy and hey, they didn’t get a bailout either. The company is offering a simple, yet fugly looking 3711 clamshell from Nokia. iPhones laugh at it. Long and hard. Then complain that they can’t breath.

As far as features, it sports a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, microSD card expansion and a QVGA display. Also GPS, which gives it some cred. If you get an Even More contract, you’ll be able to pick it up for $70. With the Even More Plus plan, it’ll cost you $160.
