Parrot intros iPhone-ready car stereoParrot’s RKi8400 in-dash car stereo was made for the iPhone, so you can take a nice drive and have all of your tunes hassle-free. When you get a call it goes into hands-free mode using Stereo Bluetooth connectivity and A2DP support.

The stereo is compatible with all iPhones and second generation iPod touch models just as long as they are running firmware 3.0 and up. It also features an SDHC memory card slot so you can store music without using the included USB port.

Philippe Starck Zikmu Parrot speakersDesigner Philippe Starck and Parrot have teamed up to release a home sound system designed for iPod, iPhone and other digital audio sources. They call it the Zikmu and it features a pair of 2.5-foot black monstrosities that look like trumpet ends.

The system is shipped in a recyclable package designed to look like a musical instrument’s carrying case. The system can also stream music from any PC or Mac over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth A2DP wireless technology. It features a class-D amplifier rated at 100W RMS, and the speakers can output frequencies from 50Hz up to 20kHz.

Zikmu

Parrot recently teamed with designer Philippe Starck to unveil some stylish and rather pricey wireless iPod speakers. These speakers are known as Zikmu and they will price around $1,500 when they become available this spring.

The Zikmu set of wireless speakers make use of both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies. Bluetooth is used for both wireless audio transfer between speakers as well as audio streaming from compatible devices using A2DP stereo wireless technology. Wi-Fi allows one to wirelessly stream audio from a user’s PC or Mac.

Parrot, normally known for its Bluetooth accessories, is adding a new, more stylish product to its line up - a Bluetooth-enabled digital picture frame. The new Parrot Digital Photo Frame by Andrée Putman prices at around $450.

The Parrot Digital Photo Frame by Andrée Putman is the first in a line of new, designer-style products for the company. It is described as being designed by “internationally acclaimed French designer and interior architect, Andree Putman - the Coco Chanel of French interior design” It sports a seven-inch screen and uses Bluetooth wireless technology so you can transfer photos directly from a device such as a mobile phone.
