If you have been drooling over the new Verizon iPhone 4, Verizon will start taking orders on the 3rd of February, according to an email that was sent to the folks over at Mac Rumors. Apparently existing Verizon customers will be able to order the iPhone 4 from the 3rd of February, while new customers will have to wait another week.

Looks like Verizon will also be offering existing iPhone owners a deal to trade in their iPhone with the purchase a Verizon iPhone, offering from $60 for an iPhone 2G up to $360 for an 32GB iPhone 4.

NYC restaurant takes orders on iPads

If you want to eat at a fancy high-tech restaurant, here’s something new. Very soon, New York’s midtown will have a restaurant that features a 240-square-foot screen, showing tweets and Foursquare check-ins. Customers can also customize their orders, add them to the 4Food.com social networking site, and if other people order their creations then they’ll be paid 25 cents for every order. Sounds pretty sweet.

That money can be saved up and redeemed on future purchases. The renders make the restaurant look like a new version of the Apple store, so it’s appropriate that orders are taken online on iPads, or with actual human beings.

You may remember Pizza Hut’s iPhone app. A farewell to human interaction isn’t the only reason to use it anymore. Now they are giving you 20% off if you use it.

The app does the usual gimmicky stuff like pinching a pizza to make it smaller or larger and shaking the phone to make wings spicy as well as store all your coupons. This 20% off deal allows you get fatter and lonelier that much quicker. So hurray, I guess.

Sony placing PS3 slim manufacturing orders for delivery in July?

Posted in PS3 by Conner Flynn on June 30th, 2009

Sony placing PS3 slim manufacturing orders for delivery in July?News on the PS3 slim has been scarce since E3, but today’s rumor is that Sony has signed manufacturing agreements with both Foxconn and Pegatron to build the slimmed down console in time for a July delivery. That seems reasonable and lines up with stuff we’ve heard.

The crazy part of the rumor is the suggestion that the slim will be the last PS3 model of this generation, and that a next-gen console based on Sony’s motion controller is hitting in spring 2010. That part we aren’t buying. The PS3 is only now in its prime and Sony already said that the motion controller was for the existing console.
