E-Blue Pequeno wireless optical mouseThis just may be the smallest mouse ever, just like they are claiming. You may even look silly using it. It measures just 38×68×28mm and weighs 35 grams. The e-blue PEQUENO from OTAS not only claims to be the smallest, but also the lightest wireless mouse available on the Japanese market today. The 2.4GHz mouse features three different resolutions (400dpi,800dpi and 1600dp) and a battery life of 21 hours. It’s compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 and runs on Windows ME/2000/XP/Vista or Mac OS X 10.2 and higher. It will cost you $63.

Wired Optical Ring Mouse
The Wired Optical Ring Mouse looks like it would be impossibly frustrating to use at first, but after thinking about it for a few seconds, it just might be ingenious.

Just slip it over your finger, move the tiny trackball with your thumb and watch as you navigate your way around the page like a professional. I think it’s supposed to slip on your ring finger, hence the name. That way, it should be easy to manipulate the buttons with your thumb as well. It only costs £14.99.

Microsoft adds special wireless colored mice

Microsoft colored optical mice 3000Microsoft is getting set to add some new colors to compliment its popular Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000, which is said to currently be the best selling notebook mouse in the United States. These special edition mice will be priced at around $30 each.

Microsoft is coloring its expanded mouse line up red, dark pink, green, brown and khaki. The mice have their own unique color names by the way, just for the record, but they are too cheesy to put in this post (creme brulee?). The mice act much the same as other optical mice do, offering smooth tracking (Microsoft reports 1,000 dpi and 6,000 frames per second) and wireless connectivity to the host computer.
