According to an analyst with the Canadian research firm Canaccord Adams, three new iPhones will appear in 2009. According to a report on Seeking Alpha, analyst Peter Misek identifies the most lavish of the trio as a 32GB iPhone 3G that will be available in a variety of colors. Then there’s a lower-cost handset based on the 2.5G iPhone, which is targeted for China and India. Third is a smaller version of the phone, about one-third the size of the 3G iPhone that will cost 40% less and we should see that one by year’s end.

The rumor seems to be gaining traction, and it fits with some of what we’ve been hearing, but we are taking it with the usual grain of salt until we hear more.

Times are tough and Sony knows that if it wants to sell PSPs(Believe me they want to sell some badly) they had better try some new tricks to entice buyers. And what could make the consumer want you more? Sony thinks that it’s all in the colors.

Sony is releasing the European PSP in three new colors to compliment the Carnival Colors we covered just a week ago. You’ll be able to get your PSP in Radiant Red, Mystic Silver and Pearl White. They might be trying a little too hard. Those color names sound like stripper names for Eighty-year-olds. In fact, I’m pretty sure Pearl White starred on The Golden Girls.

I don’t know about you, but I have problems with most earbuds. They just don’t stay put and fall out because they don’t fit my ears properly. Well, here’s an awesome solution. Koss’s CC_01 earbuds replace those foam or rubber tips with an expandable and contractable system.

All you need to do is turn the metal screw on the back of the earbuds, and the tips will adjust to fit you. Simple and amazing engineering. And great news if you, like me, are annoyed by regular old earbuds. It’s a little odd to see Koss, a manufacturer of low-priced ear-stuff, with earbuds priced at $150, but perfectly adjustable fit is a great idea. And I for one have had so much trouble with earbuds, that I find it tempting.

Out of all the robots they could have introduced, it had to be the Looj. That gutter cleaning bot that is cool from a practical standpoint, but not so cool as far as robots go.

According to them, it has new features to make it more efficient. It drives easily under gutter straps, propelled by a three-stage auger that dislodges and eliminates all of that nasty dirt and gunk. It sports a new antenna, smart speed, and a battery door that doesn’t need tools to be opened. Yeah, not much to jump up and down about, but hey, gutters will be clean.

The Apple rumors never stop. They’re flying fast and furious. According to the newest rumors, we may see an updated Mac Mini with dual display support when and if Apple announces the new machine at the upcoming Macworld conference. MacRumors is reporting that the new Mac Mini will feature both a mini Display Port and Mini DVI connector, which leads them to believe that Apple is gearing the machine towards users wanting multiple screen access.

Other rumored new features include a modular design that would allow for a second hard drive in place of the optical drive, an enhanced graphics chipset, and a new color scheme.

Designer Sait Alanyali is a proud Mac Mini user. So proud that he designed his own. One of the problems he has with the current machine are the I/O ports. It’s a hassle to plug things in and take them out. Hence the “V” shape. It puts the ports within reach while keeping cables tidy. The shape also comes in handy by improving cooling as air moves freely through the heatsink.

Hard drives are hot swappable with a 2.5″ hd installed and an empty slot to use any way you like. It also features an HDMI port and does away with the power brick because this one has it built inside. Another new feature is the embedded logo display. It sports a sensor inside that detects it’s orientation, so that the logo is always facing up.

If you haven’t got yourself a DS Lite by now, I don’t know if these two new bundles are going to lure you in. And if you already own a DS lite, chances are you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the DSi here in the states.

But if Nintendo has the urge to bundle, at least a few of you will have the urge to buy. The bundles come in an Ice Blue Brain Age set with custom carrying case and a Mario Red New Super Mario Bros set with “M” logo. They’re pretty nice looking and are being released this Friday for $150.

Nintendo has stated that it doesn’t plan to release “a whole lot more” accessories for the Wii. Most of us take that to mean that there is at least something coming, but is this that something? The images come from some European trademark registry site with very little detail, but it’s some kind of pedometer.

Personally I’m hoping that this doesn’t count as one of the accessories they had in mind. Maybe it’s just a Wii-Fit add-on. That’s what we’re hoping, because we deserve something a bit neater then a pedometer. To release this thing in place of something cooler is…Well it’s evil…And lame. It just looks like a freakin’ box.

Pioneer intros not one, not two, but four new GPS navigation devices at once. Collectively they are the HRZ099, HRZ088, HRV022, and HRV011. They all share the same specifications including a 40GB storage capacity, 1Seg TV, 7-Inch LCD Screen and they can play WMA, MP3, AAC, and DivX file formats. As you might expect, hey are also compatible with iPods.

The Pioneer HRZ099 is the High-End model of the litter, equipped with a 800 x 480 resolution. The others are 480×234. The Pioneer HRZ099 and HRZ088 also feature a built-in Amplifier with a maximum output of 50W x 4ch. Aside from these 7-Inch GPS devices, the company also introduced a 5.8-Inch GPS which sports 8GB of Flash Memory, a built-in amplifier (50w x4), 1Seg TV tuner, an SD card slot and USB Port. It can also reproduce DVD/WMA/MP3/DivX/WAV/MPEG-4 files.

This allegedly leaked photo of new Nintendo DS screens has everyone scratching their heads. Apparently the difference in the updated display is a screen size from 3 inches to 3.25 inches. Though it’s not the widescreen system that many of you were hoping for, the new screen size shouldn’t mess with the aspect ratio of existing DS titles. Could this be a sneak peek at the new DS’ upgraded screens? We’ll find out soon enough.

Nintendo may have all kinds of DS Lite colors available, and a metallic silver will be available soon in the U.S., but according to IGN, they have something bigger on the horizon. A third version of the DS. One with dual touchscreen displays, one of them even widescreen. They aren’t sure whether the redesign will be simply another DS iteration or the DS 2. IGN says the rumored release date is April or May 2009, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see. The above pic is just IGN’s mockup.

There have been a ton of rumors about the new redesigned iPods. But wait, there’s more. MacRumors and Ars Technica are both saying that we’ll be seeing the new iPods on September 9th. No specific details, but new nanos are a part of it, along with a rumored subscription service and maybe even a new iPod touch at a new lower price. We’ll see.

While most of you are still addicted to the original Rock Band, Harmonix is already looking toward the future at what else they can put in your home. That’s why they’re getting official with Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 will be launching in September and the PS3 version will follow later in the year. Of course, with a new Rock Band, you’ll be getting new instruments, like this Fender Stratocaster.

Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to use your current gear if you have it all decked out in stickers and such, or if you want to save a few bucks. Looks like you’ll also be able to carry over all your downloaded content as well as being able to download and play new tracks on Rock Band 1 once Rock Band 2 is available.

Remember those new DS colors that we told you about the other day? Looks like the rumors were true. For Europe anyway, which would explain why they showed up on a Spanish site.

Nintendo has begun distributing these advertisements which show some new colors for the European market. Europe needs some more colors too. They haven’t had as many as the U.S. No word on when they might hit here. These will hit stores on June 13th. Look at all those pretty colors. It’s like Easter without the eggs.
