MSI to launch 3.5G Wind netbook next monthThe U120 will hit store shelves in November at $552 in both white and black. Some features include an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB memory and a 120GB hard drive loaded with Windows XP, plus a built-in 3.5G module. We’re not sure yet if the November date is worldwide or Asia only.

MSI launches new gaming notebook models

MSI GX620MSI is not a name that is as recognized in the notebook world as Dell, Gateway, or other major notebook makers. MSI is probably better known for computer components like motherboards, but it does have a complete line of notebooks with some interesting features.

MSI recently introduced two new gaming notebooks — the GX620 and the GX720. The GX620 is a 15.4-inch notebook featuring a 1680 x 1050 resolution and running on Windows Vista Home Premium. The notebook uses an Intel Penryn Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU running at 2.4 GHz and graphics are via NVIDIA’s GeForce 9600GT with 512 MB of video RAM. Other features of the notebook include an optional Blu-Ray drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, and more.

MSI is putting the new Intel Atom to work in a new 10-inch notebook designed for ultra mobile on the go usage. It is called the MSI Wind and you’ll find it pricing around $500 for the Windows version and $400 for a Linux one.

The MSI Wind, besides offering Windows XP or Linux for an operating system, offers up the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor at its heart. The title is actually an acronym for “Wi-Fi Network Device,” indicating this laptop supports 802.11 b/g, with Bluetooth wireless support also thrown in for good measure.

MSI GX600-EnhancedMSI has bumped up the feature set on its GX600 gaming laptop to create a more powerful computing platform. This new laptop is known as the MSI GX600-Enhanced.

The MSI GX600-Enhanced now features Intel 45nm processing technology, 3GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. It also sports the latest NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT 3D graphic chipset, Windows Vista Home Premium, and a 15.4-inch WXGA+ display.
