This Acorn MP3 player, which they are calling the “Pine Cone MP3 Player” is to be purchased, buried in the backyard in a small hole that you have dug by hand, then dug up to help to get you through a harsh winter when music is scarce.

This MP3 player comes with 1GB of storage, and features a controller on the top so you can select your tracks easily. It goes with all of your other wood gadgets, like the Scrabble keyboard and your wooden earbuds.

Looks like our friends over at Tokyoflash got tired of making hard to decipher watches. And so the Tokyo Flash MP3 Tower was born. It features an integrated speaker on the base and a USB port to hook up USB flash drives with music files.

Red LEDs display the time straightforward for once, with volume and control buttons on top of the case. The device is powered by three AA batteries. And since the MP3 Tower is waterproof, so you take it with you in the shower. Just remember that you’ll need a waterproof USB flash drive too.

Relaxation, music and boobs. What more do you want? Not all of us have an available bosom in our lives though. Whether your girlfriend is away or you just don’t have one, just rest your head on iBoobs and all will be right with the world.

We’ve covered our share of cheap crap gadgets ’round these parts, but sometimes what looks like a cheap gadget can surprise you. Like this Tripod MP3 speaker for instance. Yeah, iPod/MP3 speakers are a dime a dozen, but they aren’t all created equal. I picked up one of these Tripod speakers because although my laptop has great sound, it could be louder, so I figured I would take a chance on this one.

The design is cool because it pumps the music in three directions. And as far as loudness, it doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it’s surprisingly loud and I haven’t had any sound problems at all, like crackling etc. Just attach your MP3 player via the headphone jack, plug it into your USB port and you’re good to go.

Looks like there was a happy ending for Chris Ogle. He’s the New Zealander who purchased an MP3 player that turned out to be full of classified US Army stuff from a thrift store. According to Reuters, the man gave the device back to US authorities.

But as a reward for his cooperation, he got a brand new MP3 player. We don’t know what brand he got, but we suspect that Uncle Sam bought it for him with your tax money. We will probably never know. But, hey at least they did that much for him.

They must be newlyweds because we haven’t seen them before. Speakers or no, they’re an odd couple from Profit Charm. The pair is available in different colors. Mr. Speaker apparently has no shirt and proudly shows off his name on his chest. Mrs Speaker on the other hand wears a shirt and nothing else. So, I’m guessing they can’t make up their minds about being nudists or not.

Both speakers will work with your iPod or computer, laptop etc and they also play FM Radio. They’re powered by USB and I’m assuming their creepy faces light up.

When you buy used stuff like computers, ipods etc, you can sometimes find surprises inside. Cool games, songs you like, porn… Chris Ogle bought an MP3 player for $14.50 at an Oklahoma second-hand store that had a much bigger surprise inside. 60 files that contained classified info like Iraq and Afghanistan deployed soldiers’ personal info, mission briefing and even a base equipment manifest.

Chris says the MP3 player never worked properly, so when he plugged it in to see why, he found the files. What he got was huge lists of soldier’s SSNs, cellphone numbers and health info. Chris is reportedly returning it to the DOD upon request. Hell, we all lose our flash drives from time to time.

Let’s say you still have a huge library of cassette tapes for some reason. Maybe you just hate to part with them. Maybe you’re cheap and treat yard sales like your own private iTunes. Whatever. Here’s a quick way to digitize those old tapes into MP3 formats.

The I-Turtle is here to chew bubble gum and dance to your tunes. And he’s all out of bubble gum. It works pretty much in the same way as its predecessor, the I-Dog. It acts as an external speaker for your digital audio player.

Sure, it will respond to your tunes by moving it’s body and bobbing its head, but the I-Turtle is deeper then that. It’s also capable of expressing a wide range of “emotions” through the blinking of lights on it’s shell. That’s all well and good, but what I really want is a turtle that will mimic the turtle from the Comcast commercials. Something I can take to the movie theater, so it can shush loud people with sayings like, “We got a real talker over here. A real talker”. That’s just me.

Here’s a concept design you don’t see everyday. The Music Drop Player is an average MP3 player, with one difference. It uses a projector instead of a small screen as a display. This way if you want to see the track info, just push a button and project the info on a wall.

The projector would be bright enough to show on almost any surface like walls, tables, or even your own hand when you’re traveling. Oddly, it displays the information in a spiral pattern that forces the user to turn their hand around or tilt their head just to read all the info. With this device, you would get an on/off switch and iPod-style buttons for skipping tracks, rewinding, fast-forwarding, and volume control.

Sometimes companies invent gadgets for for the hell of it. They might throw together a device with two or three things that do not belong together, throw it at the public like a gadget-making monkey flinging feces and see if it sticks or not. Hey, how about a new MP3 player with a breath analyzer?

It’s for people who like tunes and need immediate info about their funky breath. Oh, they also added a flashlight, a radio, a mosquito repeller (In case your breath is attracting them), all with an MP3 player. For no damn reason! Just because! They are gambling on a real long shot here. But if there should be a demand for such a device…Oh man. Someone will be in the money.

Sony is all set to offer a completely different type of Walkman. This time it’s aimed at the budget conscious consumer who wants something to match their active lifestyle. The upcoming W-series Walkman has some nice aesthetics for such users. It sports 2GB of storage, and a low price point ($50-75).

The design looks a little too cutesy with the heart shape and all. It’s basically a sleek wrap around earphone that has magnetic connectors on each end to keep it bound together when not in use. That’s what forms the shape. What you see is the entire player. The earphones are 13.5mm EX quality, and currently supported codecs include MP3, AAC, WMA (w/ DRM) and PCM.

Imagine how many times great musicians have lost masterpieces just because they didn’t have a way to document it. That’s where the iDea guitar from Ovation comes in. It’s the first guitar to feature a built-in MP3 player for just such occasions. There isn’t much info on specs, but it probably has a decent amount of flash storage so you can record anything on a whim. It features a control panel on the side with an LCD display, mic input and a USB connection. It also has an easy to use 4-way controller for menu navigation. If that’s not enough, you get a set of basic EQ sliders for the bass, mid and treb.

It will let you record the guitar, mic or anything else that’s connected to the aux in jack. You can even mix those features together or use the pitch-stable variable speed playback option to slow things down for practice.
