T-Mobile G1 v2 made by Motorola, not HTC?The folks over at Boy Genius Report received a tip that they say has more or less confirmed that the phone is going to be manufactured by Motorola for T-Mobile. Not HTC. Why isn’t HTC in the picture on this one? They have no idea.

If you look at the keyboard font and the buttons on the front of the device there are some things that HTC just wouldn’t do. They’re Moto style. This would be good news for Motorola. We’ll keep an eye on this one.

Calgary to be Motorola’s first Android phoneMotorola’s Calgary really looks awesome and makes you take notice. And it’s on Verizon. According to BGR, the QWERTY slider will be focused on social networking much like the new Sidekick. The only thing we’re unsure about is that flat keyboard. Will it be finger friendly or not?

It looks absolutely sexy. Moto could really have a hit on their hands, with this well-designed Android phone. No word yet as to whether this is slated for Q2 or not.

Fake Louis Vuitton Motorola AuraIf you like the Motorola Aura and love yourself some fake luxury, you’ll want to check out this latest knock-off. It adds the popular and overpriced Louis Vuitton treatment to Moto’s phone. It’s called the Imobile Phone V453.

This bastard love child of branding ditches the Aura’s circular display for a square-within-a-circle display. It also has a ring of LED lights around the display. That at least is new.

Motorola i465 press pictures leakedMotorola has done it. With the upcoming Motorola i465 iDEN they have created a full-QWERTY phone that is uglier than the ugliest thing beat by an ugly stick. Well, maybe it’s not that bad. Specific details are sparse but it will likely have a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and iDEN PTT.

The main selling point seems to be iDEN connectivity with a QWERTY keypad thrown in for messaging friends. No word yet on when Motorola will actually launch the i465, but this should happen via Sprint Nextel in the US.

Motorola Ruby keeps the RAZR look

Posted in Motorola by Conner Flynn on February 23rd, 2009

Motorola Ruby keeps the RAZR lookMotorola must be feeling good about themselves, because they switched up the name a little bit and it isn’t in all caps. But they lose some points for originality since this phone is so similar to the original RAZR. Do they want to sell phones or not?

We’re guessing these aren’t going to move all that well. The Motorola Ruby aka VE1, will feature a 5 megapixel camera and a flip phone design. That’s about all we know.

Some features include a 3 megapixel camera, Opera Mini browser, QVGA display and a Linux-based OS. It looks good, but with so many options available to users from other manufacturers, the only way this does well is if it has a crazy cheap price.

Some companies out there recycle the internal components from discarded electronics to build new products or simply for the raw materials.

Motorola intros D10 and D11 digital cordless phones

Posted in Telephones by Conner Flynn on November 30th, 2008

Motorola intros D10 and D11 digital cordless phonesMotorola has some new digital cordless phones, the D10 and D11. Both feature an innovative design that we haven’t really seen before. If the picture above is any indication it can turn the steam from your coffee into a weird hovering alien creature.

The D10 and D11 handsets are intelligent enough that they can adjust automatically to optimize output depending on how far they are from the base unit. In the intelligent ‘eco mode’, you can save on battery power and get longer talk time without sacrificing voice quality. The phone is eco-conscious because 20% of it is made from recycled material, which will help reduce your carbon footprint, which currently looks like Bigfoot on steroids.
