Beats by Dr. Dre HeadphonesWay back in January at CES 2008 we first heard of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones from Monster. The headphones promised new technology that would bring sound quality to headphones that was not previously seen in consumer grade products. The catch was the price was right at $400.

Monster has announced that the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones will be available on July 25 and will be exclusive to the Apple store and Best Buy. The headphones are being aimed squarely at users of the iPhone and iPhone 3G as well as iPods.

Monster iCarPlay 250Once you get hooked on your own custom playlists and listening to what you want when you want on your iPod or iPhone, going back to normal FM radio in your car is hard to do. You could carry tons of CDs and listen to what you want in the car too, but that is so 1994.

At CES this January Monster announced what it claimed to be the world’s most advanced iPod/iPhone wireless FM transmitter called the iCarPlay 250. Monster announced this week that it is finally shipping the iCarPlay 250 at $99.95. The device allows you to play your digital tracks from your iPod or iPhone over unused FM stations on your radio in the car or the home.

Monster StreamLine 100 SpeakersFirst off, sorry about the photo – that backside shot is the only one we could find. It belongs to the center speaker of a new series of speakers Monster announced today called the StreamLine 100. Prices vary between $300 and $600, depending upon which speaker component you need.

Monster designed the StreamLine 100 speakers to be integrated into a home theater. In this series you have a pair of towers, one center and a subwoofer. All offer interchangeable side panels with five color options, depending upon the colors lying around your room or your desire to be neurotic and change them every other day.

Monster iCarPlay 250Monster unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show what it is calling the most advanced wireless FM transmitter yet for the iPod. It is called the Monster iCarPlay 250 and Monster is pricing it at around $100.

The Monster iCarPlay 250 lets you enjoy your iPod audio through your car’s FM radio while at the same time charging your player. This particular FM transmitter offers some technologies to help do this in the most efficient way possible: autoscanning to lock in the clearest FM frequency, line-level audio signal output for “minimal distortion” and automatically adjustment of power output on individual frequencies for maximum signal strength.

Monster Wireless iPod Audio Bridge

Monster wireless iPod audio bridgeThere’s nothing real new technology-wise with this wireless bridge from Monster, but it definitely has the looks to get our attention. The wireless bridge is designed for use with an Apple iPod (what isn’t?) by connecting a transmitter to the base of the player. A 2.4GHz signal is then sent from the player attachment to the base station at a distance of no more than 30 feet.

The base station connects to your home theater and allows you to play your music from your iPod wirelessly on the couch, not unlike the one we saw from Denon last week, minus the remote. No price or launch date is available yet for the Moster wireless audio bridge but the looks alone will keep us watching for this wireless iPod accessory.
