Xbox Live is having some problems. Apparently a new Modern Warfare 2 map update has made a number of Xbox Live features unusable or unstable, including online MW2 gameplay. Not good news for those who wanted to get some gametime in.

Word is that the Xbox Live Marketplace is off-and-on, and even Microsoft admits that several other things are acting strangely. However a fix is on the way, so maybe if you try again later it will be alright. You’re probably supposed to be working anyway right?

Mad Catz's Modern Warfare 2 controllersModern Warfare 2 players are going to love this badass third-party controller. It looks awesome and even has extra buttons on the back so you don’t have to take your thumb off the sticks. Moving your thumb to reload or jump can be dangerous.

This baby also sports rubber grips and a “soft-touch finish for extended gaming sessions”, so I guess your hand won’t cramp up. Sadly it’s not wireless, but Mad Catz pledges to provide a “robust and latency free connection with the console.”

Night Vision Goggles included with Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition

I love a good war game so as soon as I get a chance I plan to check out Modern Warfare 2. The game is generating a lot of buzz. After seeing this, I want to check it out even more. This is an unusual approach to selling a game and I think it might work.

The Prestige Edition will come with fully functioning night vision goggles. How cool is that? We don’t know yet how much the bundle will cost, but it will likely be pretty expensive. Even low-end NVGs can cost a few hundred bucks.
