Verizon Wireless and Nokia are so willing to bet you’ll be enamored with the upcoming Dark Knight movie the two are releasing a new limited edition mobile based upon it. It is called the Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight edition and you’ll find it pricing around $70 after rebate and two-year contract.

The Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight is a themed-edition flip phone set in black and embellished with a subtle The Dark Knight emblem. It comes pre-loaded with wallpapers, voice tones, animated screensavers inspired by the film, and a full movie trailer.

Turtle Wireless, a provider of “novelty wireless accessories and phones” is indeed unveiling one such new novelty phone. It is a wearable mobile phone watch known as the TW801 and pricing is set for around $250.

The Turtle Wireless TW801 is a GSM mobile phone watch which has WAP/GPRS compatibility and built-in Bluetooth. It is designed to be worn like a wristwatch and sports a touchscreen design for interactions with it.

Boost Mobile is introducing to its line up of pay as you go mobile handsets the rugged new Motorola i335. The phone will cost you around $60.

The Motorla i335 is noted for having “military grade” durability and a thin candy bar design with textured backing and a rubber face. It has a walkie-talkie chatting function and also sports Bluetooth.

AT&T and Pantech have teamed to release a phone developed on the “principles of Universal Design — the practice of designing products and applications that are usable by the most customers possible.” What this essentially means is the two are debuting the Pantech Breeze, a simplified flip-phone priced at around $80 before rebate.

The Pantech Breeze offers as key Universal Design features, according to AT&T, a clean and uncluttered design, simplified menus, an oversized display with large keypad and quick-call keys. This is all part of this GSM quad-band world phone’s design.

Globwon Electronics is making available to overseas purchasers a new Chinese watch phone. It is called the Globwon ZTC-F1 and you’ll find it pricing around $225.

The Globwon ZTC-F1 is a quad-band, mobile phone which supports Bluetooth for hands-free calling and includes an integrated 1.3-megapixel digital camera. It’s also got FM radio capability and comes with a 1GB memory card.

Samsung announced today a bitching new touchscreen mobile which may very well get us to switch over to its exclusive wireless carrier Sprint. It’s called the Samsung Instinct and, sorry, there is no pricing as of yet.

The Samsung Instinct sports “localized tactile feedback, called haptics, which allow the virtual QWERTY keypad and other operations to become a sensory experience.” Sweet. It is also Sprint’s first EV-DO Rev A consumer focused mobile, meaning you can expect quicker load times for things like browsing the Web and streaming audio.

Kingston Technology is trying to connect with God knows which demographic by announcing today a microSD memory card preloaded with Ricky Martin material. You’ll find the Kingston 1GB microSD card with an accompanying USB reader kit available for around $11.

Now we really don’t have anything against Ricky Martin, but come on Kingston. This is a pretty lame promotion. If you must buy into it however you’ll find the 1GB microSD card loaded with Martin items like the tracks “Somos la Semilla,” “Tu Recuerdo,” concert images and a music video that opened his “Black & White” world tour.

AT&T and Motorola are bringing us a sweet new slider phone which will have a bounty of goodness associated with it, including GPS. It is called the Motorola MOTO Z9 and will cost you around $250 after a two-year agreement.

The MOTO Z9 has a nice slider design which hosts a phone offering GPS functionality through AT&T’s AT&T Navigator for finding your way around town. It supports AT&T’s 3G wireless service around the country as well to let you send live one-way video and audio from one user to another using a similarly compatible AT&T Wireless mobile.

Sling Media today has announced a new mobile client for those wishing to access their television programming while on the go. It is known as the SlingPlayer Mobile for UIQ on Symbian OS. It will run you around $30 for this software once it is released.

The SlingPlayer™ Mobile for UIQ on Symbian OS brings to compatible Symbian based mobiles the ability to watch and control home television when a Slingbox is installed at home. All of this is done over a wireless Internet connection, be it cellular or Wi-Fi. SlingPlayer Mobile also lets one “control their home digital video recorder (DVR) to watch recorded shows, pause, rewind, and fast forward live TV and even program and watch new recordings while away from home.”

Samsung is jumping in the market joining the ranks of LG, Apple and others who have put out mobile phones featuring a touchscreen interface with the new AnyCall Haptic SCH-W420 mobile phone. Touchscreens have been all the rage for the past year or so, and already there are enough that companies have to come out with some unique features to help one stand out from the other.

To the AnyCall Haptic, Samsung has added some vibrating tactile feedback to the touchscreen. In fact, they’ve added 22 different types of feedback to your fingers from the screen, depending on what you’re doing with the phone such as dialing a number, moving objects around or spinning a dial. Whether or not your fingers are able to distinguish between 22 different type of vibrations is another story, but at least some feedback helps quite a bit if you’ve every tried to quickly dial a number on a flat touchscreen.

Today AT&T announced the availability of their own new version of the BlackBerry Pearl with the 8120 as a replacement for the 8100. The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 comes to AT&T with some new features that are already enjoyed by Sprint and Verizon, but most notably has WiFi added to its connectivity and forgoes the GPS.

An external-facing microSD slot, regular-sized 3.5mm headphone jack, 2 megapixel camera with video recording and an improved browser round out the updated features on the new smartphone. It also of course has all the features of the 8100 model as a quad-band GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) world phone along with the slim candy bar design, Bluetooth and the almost-QWERTY keyboard.

This Chinese mobile smartphone doesn’t appear much different form many of the mobile devices on the market today but the manufacturer is claiming that it does have at least one significant difference. The makers of the the LionKing800 are claiming that it has high-capacity battery that gives it up to “about” 365 days of standby time and 3-5 days of continuous talk time.

It does have a 16,800mAh lithium battery which is significantly more than you would probably find in your current cellphone, so maybe it could be possible if the phone sat in a dark, quite room without being touched for a year. Either that or someone is just confused.

Alltel Wireless has scored an exclusive slider phone with a touchscreen interface from LG and plans to launch it March 13. The phone is called the LG Glimmer and it will price at around $250 after rebate and two-year contract.

The LG Glimmer, besides the aforementioned items, is geared towards media lovers with its 2-megapixel digital camera with video recording, built-in MP3 player and streaming video support. It’s also outfitted with an expandable memory card slot and is GPS capable.

It looks like Samsung and Adidas have paired up to take on the likes of Apple and Nike+ in the fitness gadget market. The miCoach F110 mobile phone brings on similar workout tracking capabilities and then some.

The miCoach comes packaged with a heart rate monitor and a “foot pod” for tracking your steps wirelessly to the phone. The device will then keep track of your pace, distance and heart rate giving you audio feedback on your progress and exercise level during your workout.

Sony Ericsson today launched the T303, a small new slider mobile phone that offers a some style in a pocket-sized package. The T303 comes in a metal housing to give it a sold feel with a chrome finish and a sexy mirrored display.

The new handset isn’t breaking out into any bleeding edge technologies by any means, but looks to be a solid handset with some basic features and basic smooth looks. The small size is definitely something to take note of as well. The phone’s length measures just 3.3 inches when closed and weighs 3.3 ounces. It also has 65k color TFT and 8MB of internal memory for media, but does not appear to have any type of slot for external memory.
