Altec Lansing intros MIX boombox for iPod, iPhone |
Altec Lansing has released the MIX IMT800 for the iPod and iPhone. It’s designed to resemble a retro boombox and features a built-in Universal Dock, horn-loaded silk dome tweeters, two mid range drivers, a 5.25” side-firing subwoofer, 5.25” tuned passive radiator and integrated digital FM radio.
It even gives you the choice of powering it using AC power or eight D batteries, which will give you some expensive portability. It also includes an LCD tracfor track listings, artist, album, and station, a seven-band graphic equalizer, dual top-mounted auxiliary inputs and a clip-on remote control.


Philips just unveiled a bunch of new products, everything from new digital audio players, to all in one remotes, to iPhone speaker systems and landline handsets. There are a few that stand out from the crowd. Like the clip-on GoGear Luxe MP3 player with Bluetooth headset. It lets you switch from music to calls with just a click. It also features a music shuffle mode, a 100 hour battery life, FM radio with 20 presets, and its display shows caller ID and numbers. It retails for $79.99.
