Here’s some clever marketing. Samsung and MetroPCS have teamed up with tattoo artist Mark Machado aka Mister Cartoon to release a limited edition SCH-r450. The handsets will feature tattoo inspired wallpapers, ringtones and animations in a re-colored case with Mister Cartoon designed graphics on the battery cover.

If you want one, you better act quick because only 30,010 will be produced. Why 30,010, right? Because the first 10 will be signed by Mister Cartoon himself and will be auctioned off for charity. You still have 30,000 chances though, right?

MetroPCS is certainly not one of the larger mobile phone providers in the country, but it offers unlimited service for a fixed price. That feature is something that will lure customers from the larger providers in the major cities and areas that the service covers.

Samsung and MetroPCS announced today that a new handset called the Samsung Tint is now available. The big feature of the Tint is that it has removable faceplates and includes both pink and grey faceplates for customization of the device.

Samsung on Friday announced a new horizontal-slider design handset which it is debuting through cellular provider MetroPCS. It is called the Samsung Messager (SCH-r450) and it prices around $200.

The Samsung Messager (SCH-r450) is designed for those who like to message as they go, be it text, email or IM. It includes a QWERTY keyboard and support for messaging services. There’s also built-in MP3 playback and an external micro SD card slot.
