Memorex unveils MyVideo camcorder |
With the success of the Flip line of compact and cheap camcorders, there are lots of other manufacturers jumping into the market with very similar products. The latest of these products is the Memorex MyVideo camcorders. Both an HD and a non-HD version are available.
The devices have integrated USB ports and one-touch recording. Editing software is included for uploading of video to sharing websites like Facebook and YouTube. The camcorder can also play video directly to a TV set and can capture still shots as well as video.

Memorex introduces the TouchMP touchscreen portable media player. The TouchMP comes with 8GB of storage capacity and features a 2.8-inch QVGA color display and touch screen LCD with 320×240 resolution. The device plays MP3, WMA, WAV audio, WMV, MPEG-4, AVI in MP4 format video as well as JPEG images.
Just about everyone has an iPod or music phone today. One thing that is common among the different MP3 players and music phones on the market is that most of them don’t have very good headphones. The quality of the music from the player could be improved by simply changing the earphones for many users.
At first glance you might think that Memorex has updated those old portable 8-Track players, you know the one’s with the handles from back in the day… Okay, they kinda have. The 8-Track cassette tape is now an iPod, but otherwise it’s pretty much the same deal. The Memorex miniMOVE Boombox for iPod resembles a purse and is obviously aimed at the ladies as a fashion accessory.
It used to be that a portable hard drive had to be plugged into the wall AC outlet to be able to operate. Over time, some smaller capacity hard drives could be powered by the USB port totally, making them much more portable. Today even some larger capacity portable drives are powered by the USB port.
