Android Market had 9,330 apps added last month |
The Android Market still may not have the sheer volume of apps that Apple enjoys, but they are quietly catching up. In March alone, over 9,000 applications were added. Of course, with more apps come more junk and redundancy, but that is to be expected. That might be a problem as it grows.
But for now, this is impressive growth and it looks like things are only getting better. The android market went from a 5,532 app increase in February to a 9,330 increase in March. Right now there are over 27,000 apps in the Android Market.

According to Reigncom’s President, iriver will be releasing a cell phone early next year. The new iriver phone will be available from Korean carrier KT. The iriver phone concept had been previously spotted by many at CES 2008, but at the time iriver claimed the phone was just a concept. Well, seems like it’s for real now. We don’t have full specs yet, but we know the phone features a large touchscreen, Wi-Fi, and embedded access to Bugs Music Service, as well as handwriting recognition and multiple dictionaries on board. Should be available on March 9th.
