Flash drives all the look the same for the most part. But Adidas has their own USB flash drive, which stands out from the crowd. These drives are used for marketing purposes and sports a unique design that resembles a miniature roll-on suitcase with three stripes.

It’s different and you have to love the way the USB connector hides away when not needed. If they made this one available to everyone, they would do well.

Remember the escale luggage scale? Well, here’s another scale that will help you avoid unnecessary fees at the airport. The device makes it easy to make sure that you don’t go over the weight limit and get charged.

The Weigh to go unit features Velcro straps and a lockable steel carabineer that prevents others from stealing it too. Weigh to go retails for $33, and will give you a reading of your luggage’s weight in both kgs or pounds after you lift it for a total of 5 seconds.

Airlines suck. They will charge you extra for everything. So it’s important to know how much your luggage weighs. The Gravity Ruler is an easy way to weigh your luggage before you head off to the airport. You don’t want to be surprised and get stuck paying more fees.

It’s simple to use. The Gravity Ruler is nothing more than a bungee cord that you loop through your luggage handle. When you lift it up, an orange band on the cord moves through a clear sheath to show you how much the item weighs.

Suitcase doubles as a folding bikeThis Suitcase is also a folding Bicycle from Happy bike, designed by believe. It’s not just a concept, it’s really for sale. The bike can be folded down into a complete suitcase and they say that you can open or fold it down in only 10 seconds. It only weighs 8-9 KG. I’m not sure that it would actually hold much as a suitcase, but if you travel light, just imagine getting off of a plane, walking through the airport and transforming your suitcase into a dork bike for the ride home.

Samsonite OBAG concept reinvents the suitcase

Samsonite OBAG concept reinvents the suitcaseThe conventional shape of luggage isn’t exactly ideal. It isn’t easy lugging around square and rectangular bags that are filled to bursting, even when they have small wheels. So why not make the entire thing a rolling wheel?

The Samsonite OBAG was designed by Rooz Mousavi, and it’s a roll-on bag that…rolls. It’s got a rugged exterior that will stand up to the most brutal treatment and foul weather, but the main point is that it will allow you to effortlessly roll your luggage in just about any condition, even through snow. And a large wheel requires much less energy to move it around then a rectangle. It even sports a few compartments on the sides so you can carry around more stuff. The handle collapses for easy storage.

Live Luggage Power Assisted BagI don’t travel all that much, but when I do one of the biggest pains is schlepping all of my gear the 20 miles through the airport. Inevitably I am running through the airport trying to make my flight, making pulling the bags even less fun.

A company from England has announced the world’s first power assisted luggage that aims to make the trek through the airport and to the hotel easier by making the luggage pull itself. The bag uses a pancake wheel technology and an Anti-Gravity handle to put a major portion of the bags weight over the wheels.

Volkswagon Viseo concept vehicle luggageVolkswagen has developed its latest vehicle concept for an electric car of the future. Designed in collaboration with German design student Marc Kirsch for his diploma project, the Volkswagen Viseo is a three-seater that produces zero carbon emissions. Created to show that being environmentally friendly doesn’t mean that you don’t look sexy, the Viseo has that streamlined look that screams sports car sex appeal. Unfortunately we don’t know what kind of miles per charge the electric cars in the future will get so while the Viseo looks great it’s still an unknown performer.

One novel new feature about the Viseo is that the back-end of the car can detach and becomes a suitcase that you can wheel around. Something like this sounds great if you need to fly a lot and park your car longterm at the airport but as an everyday idea, it’s not so hot.
